Now if Jeb can add jungle creatures, it might be worth it.

Snakes? More giant insects? Gorillas? Guerillas? Tigers? etc etc etc.

First he'll need to catch up with the swamp.

Man, they are so far behind when compared to stuff like Mo Creatures.

Its funny that the company that actually works on the game fall behind ONE MAN (mo creatures) who did it himself in less time it took for Notch to make "better clouds" or some [censored].

It would actually be really cool if they could do giant snakes as a hostile mob... I'm thinking akin to the Snake mobile phone game, where the snake is a multi-segmented creature made of full-sized blocks, and as it moves around, essentially the tail block just disappears as the head block goes forward.

The more I think of this, the more awesome I think it'd be. Kill all the segments individually - if it's a 5-long snake and you kill the middle, you now have 2 2-long snakes.

It'd work in caves, too. Perhaps with giant worms, not snakes...

maybe if the snake was a boss, and hitting it made it broke into smaller snakes like the game centipede... or maybe the centipede should be the boss. im not really a fan of snakes becoming a regular mob though. maybe a jungle cat or something but snakes seem like they would jump out at you when you least expect it... every 15 seconds.

Jens and the new guy are working on that, too. They kept the mobs out of this snapshot, as they want a bit more time to finish the AI.

not liking the "requires new world" bit so much. but its not that big of a deal really, since from the looks of it i won't like that biome any ways. too much trouble to terraform and too hazardous.

What are the chances of getting a community project on the go in the near future? I miss working around lots of people.

i still plan on rebuilding the werewolf mansion so we could play werewolf on the server, i just have not been in the mood to go on the server the last few days.

What version is the GSLS up to date for, along with Water Shader and Optifine and what's the best super high res Minecraft texture pack?
And what GSL Shaders look the best for making my Minecraft pretty.

Also if I force 24x AA and 16x AF, will it work and cancel out The fancy Optifine's lack of AA and AF?

24x AA is like dumping jet fuel in a diesel engine. You waste valuable resources for a miniscule increase in quality and you'll probably burn something out in the process.

It is a bit extreme.
I should tone it down, anything past 16x doesn't make any difference at 1080p

Am I the only one that wishes MC was still in Beta? Everything after its release just feels like a follow-up patch. As if the days of "Oh my god! New MC content!" are over. It's now "Great, another patch." Doesn't matter what they add, or if I like it or not. That's just how I feel. It's strange and makes no sense.

This isn't a little indie game rising from the goo anymore. It's a commercial game getting patches.

Bah, I'm crazy.

the game doesn't really feel any different to me any ways, and in actuallity i would prefer they did more patches to fix some of the problems that have been persisting. perticularly things in smp; such as saplings not all ways stacking in inventory.

I think it would make a fun challenge to civilise it.

Reminds me of my first single player map, I spent ages terraforming a plains biome with trees that I planted.

That's not what I mean. It's not the content that is changing. I'm glad we're still getting brand new content. It just doesn't feel the same to me. It's kind of like the ship has sailed, and this is just the wake. It's not important, and I'm not complaining. It's just an odd feeling.

If you want to experience difference, come play on Technic. It feels like the entire game changes.

I've managed to install tekkit on version 1.0.0 but it says client out of date when I try to connect to the server.

Did you install the one from their site because thats an updated version of what the server is hosting.
I think Tank had a link to one that was compatible with the server in the previous thread

Did you install the one from their site because thats an updated version of what the server is hosting.
I think Tank had a link to one that was compatible with the server in the previous thread

I installed tank's.
