Miraak's last words

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 8:30 pm

Lol, tell that to the Skaal. And that dwemer lock holding the Oghma Infinium.

Ask Azura how http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Black_Star_%28item%29 is doin'. :)

I think we can establish that daedric princes saying "free will is an illusion" indicates that they're full of horker dung.

He kinda deserved it. I mean, Miraak basically taunted me, tried to kill me, all the while he's just trying to escape? He would've been better off trading places with me, rather than kill me. Also, he did all this to a man that can transform into Marcus's older, pissed off, vampiric brother (for those who watched Underworld). And then be has the gall to say that I deserve getting killed by Mora as he did? Pfft, what a tool.

By the way, looking at his last word; I think it isn't so much of a "I hope you die like me" issue... More less; he's basically saying "this is what's going to happen to you."

Not yet. Hjalti/Tiber/Wulfharth/Talos/whatever is still the dragonborn boss at the moment.

Tiber Septim was Dragonborn. Wulfharth was Dragonborn. Talos is an apotheosized enantiomorphic oversoul contaning two parts dragonborn and one part normal mortal.

But yeah, Tiber Septim still is top dragonborn; he forged an empire. The first to truly span the entire continent. Not even Reman managed that.

Though it's looking like we'll at least make a run at Talos. We absorbed Miraaks soul, so his involvement may or may not be involved with the player character mantling Talos, just like Wulfharth may or may not have been involved with Tiber Septim. Really looking forward to upcoming dlc(s).

Soulmunching Miraak isn't mantling Talos. Taking part in an Enantiomorphic Event is.

Though technically, that's more mantling the Anu/Padomay/Nir event (which Tiber/Wulfharth/Arctus did too). There seem to be quite a few that the Dragonborn is taking part in... Tullius/Ulfric/Dragonborn, Alduin/Paarthurnax/Dragonborn, Harkon/Serana/Dragonborn... Maybe we have another with the DLC here? I'm still waiting, so I can't discern...

In the end you open that lockbox, and I assume he also gets the Skaal's knowledge. FATE. He is the Prince of Fate as you can clearly see. You cannot defeat Hermaues-Mora.

Point being he doesn't know everything like another person said. Mr. Fate's gonna have to punch sand when I become a divine. And we all know its gonna happen. Maybe through absorbing so many dragon souls.

If you adhere to the theory that all dragons ('borns included) are fragments of the soul of Akatosh... you already are. :P

Alduin may have been boasting, or referring to his actual role of devouring reality to start the new Kalpa (which would be the only thing capable of killing the Daedra (as they are now)).

We're only a small piece of Akatosh, if it's true that we're all a little piece of his divinity.

Good point, if that is true.

Daedra aren't affected by the end of a kalpa, that only happens on Mundus. I'd guess he was referring to Aka, or what he was before Mundus. He was probably way more powerful than most of the other Princes. Or maybe because he can kill their avatars easily, which they don't like. Or maybe he was pulling it out of his ass :P

Yes.. in fact this one is the best one yet because Hermaeus would have played the part of Triminac.. although nothing is for certain and I don't love the idea of Miraak acting as my buddy Shor.

Alduin in his proper role eats everything, even Daedric princes from what I understand. Alduin is also probably another side to Akatosh that is necessary but not always.. in control I guess.

Kind of.. so is Miraak then.. and I doubt he's all that "divine" since he cannot escape Mora without your shred of divinity.. I mean everything in TES is "divine" in a sense.. just different levels of it.

Your soul technically belongs to Nocturnal. I don't think HM can call claim to it.

My soul kind of belongs to... everyone. It's like a pot of gold and everyone is shoving their fingers in there. I'd imagine there'd be a giant war when the Dovahkiin died, all of those god-creatures trying to take his/her soul as their own. I could see a good fanfic coming from that. If I was into fanfic.

I was always under the impression that Akatosh would have first dibs on the DB's soul (at least this is what I gathered from the lore section). This also begs the question as to why Miraak didn't join Akatosh when he was killed the first time, and I've written it off as the fact that he was corrupted and failed to carry out his job.

Miraak pledged himself to Mora completely and become his servant in return fore more power so mora got him when he died. People are getting the idea akatosh will save you if you go around selling your soul seeing the events from dawnguard (undead dragon) and dragonborn (miraak and HM) akatosh won't do jack. So if you become a vampire, werewolf or nightengale that respective deadra prince is getting you. Tsun even tells you if you are a nightengale that you are bound to nocturnal.

Now thanks to dragonborn HM may have a bigger claim on your soul. As I said werewolves, vampires and nightengales have nothing to worry about since HM is not getting you no matter how many shiny books of power he throws your way.

Well, HM did gain a new champion. He has no purpose for a used and abused Dragonborn.
