Miraak's last words

Your soul technically belongs to Nocturnal. I don't think HM can call claim to it.

Mine belongs to Hircine. Buck both Nocturnal and HM.

He didn't play you. Boethiah is the prince of deceit, not HM, so that is mere speculation on your part. He wanted the Skaal's knowledge, whatever that may have been. He never promised anything doing the MQ for DB, so there is no way to honestly say that he will or would turn on you. Miraak was obviously the one to abuse the situation and piss off a Daedric Prince.

play you as in use you, not deceit. a pawn in a chess game. what speculation is to be had when it plays out that way?

He knew what Miraak was doing all along, he just let him live and imprisoned him until HM could find a replacement. you. hook line and svcker, you think you're growing ever powerful than before but in essense you're just Mora's (censad)

Be more clear, don't just quote me to correct me. How should I know what you meant? I pulled what I gathered from your post.

And His Last Words and Mora's In this Dlc

Spoiler
Kind of are horrible, How you magically are Mora's Minion, So now you will truely never go to Sovengarde. Or are very close to not doing so.

Technically, depending on how you play Skyrim... you'll cause quite the Kerfuffle when you die. A bunch of princes will have claim on your soul... which may not even go to any (a)typical afterlife since you have the soul of a Dragon!

Nocturnal, Hircine, HM... a few other princes, I think. One or two of the Divines? Strong argument for Shor to push you to Sovengarde. Gonna be real interesting to be sitting in Limbo while everyone figures out just what to do with the Dovahkiin's soul.

I mean before he originally 'vanished' from history. I read the book about him being the traitor, and being snatched away at the last second by Mora...why would Mora do such a thing? What purpose did he have for him by imprisoning him in Apocrypha

BTW I can't stop saying Apocrypha. It's the coolest word evar.

edit: nevermind, I'm reading now that Miraak was approached by Mora initially and taught 'Bend Will' is that correct?

I assume he knew you would rise in power, since he knows everything about the future, past, etc.

He wanted the Skaal's secrets, and knew only you could get them for him. So he allowed Miraak to stay alive until then. My best assumption

Mora has a pathological need to know everything. I cant remember who but an npc mentioned that anything that is kept from makes him even more curious as to what is is, perhaps there is something related to akatosh or Talos that he hopes to glean from a Dragonborn.

Indeed, it shall be a glorious crusade against the Thalmor for the fate of Mundus, and at the end, I shall take the place of Talos as the God of War!

Basically. I think Akatosh pretty much gets first dibs.

Durnehviir in the Soul Cairn said something along the lines of a Dragon's soul being even more resilient than it's scaly hide, so even after millennia in there he still wasn't a slave to the Ideal Masters. I'd guess that no matter how many aedra, daedra or miscellaneous wotsits have a claim on the Dragonborn's soul you'll go wherever you please when you die. Unless you're silly/unlucky enough to die in a place like Apocrypha or fall for a scam like Durnehviir did, of course.

Doesn't anyone think that Dovahkhiin will have the choice of wear he wants to go? And imo, by canon he would want to spend the afterlife in either Sovngarde or Apocrypha.

HM played you both and won, he got EVERYTHING he wanted.

Not everything. he only gets you if you say you're loyal to him in all the dialogue.
