So, Molag Bal [censored] Serana?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:41 pm

No lunar transformations. Yes, wild werewolves.
^This and you can still only receive the werewolf blood by doing Companion's questline.

You guys realize that Molag Bal is the Prince of R.a.p.e, just like Dagon is the Prince of destruction, right?

And to whoever autocensored a word that appears in the games themselves, [censored] your mother [censored] in the [censored] [censored] [censored].

Crap, why has Bethesda screwed us again?
Don't know.

Pete: Hey Todd, the fans want lunar transformations and wild werewolves.

Todd: We already have werewolves.

Pete: But...lore

Todd: Screw the lore. Gameplay is what matters.

Pete: But fans will be dissapointed. We must appease them.

Todd: Fine, add some wild werewolves and no lunar transformations or any diseases.

Pete: Why?

Todd: Because it would makes sense.

Sounds about right, I can believe it. And no other way to become a werewolf besides joining the Companions, what the hell? Does this mean all the werewolves we come across are ex-Companions?

Yeah because werewolves in Skyrim were only the companions(sarcasm). But Bethesda made it that way, so much that Arnbjorn assumes you got the disease from them rather than "anywhere else".

That is what I am saying, they are making it seem like all the werewolves were once a Companion since they do not have lunar transformations.
Someone should report this as a bug to Bethesda.

Exactly but if you become a VL after being a werewolf Aela will only transform you back once. I found that out the hard way.

Actually, maybe they made the choice because if they HAD made it possible to get lycanthropy from another source, they'd have to go back and possibly change some of the companions quest to make it so it could recognize another werewolf? Hell if I know, but a possibility.

Couldn't they just figure out a way to omit the part of the quest where you are turned, and just skip to the part where you meet them at Gallow's Rock.

More than likely, but i suppose since this was geared more towards the Vampire's vs Dawnguard they really did not pay to much attention to the werewolf side's. Would've been nice to randomly contract a Werewolf disease though.

I'm not saying it's NOT doable; it definitely is.
But perhaps they simply couldn't be bothered to go back and bug test the Companions quest when you already HAVE it. Perhaps they felt that it was too risky, since DLC can't be patched and it could -potentially- break the entire companion's questline.

Actually couldn't they just make it to that the Companions have forced lunar transformations once you complete the questline since you break the deal with the Glenmoril Witches and kill them.

I would not mind seeing lunar transformation's down the road but im going to have to agree with Longknife on this one it would probably be to risky to mess with the Questline like that. Maybe a future DLC hopefully but i doubt it.

In any case, yes, it is disturbing. But could it be less disturbing if Molag took the shape of a woman? I mean, Lamae Beolfag violated the men...but I how? I do not plan to think on the details.

I was wondering that myself, especially since she was on fire. I'd have a hard time getting it up to ANY woman who just rose from the dead, let alone one on fire!

I do remember one of the Main Character's in dawnguard saying he sacrificed 1,000 souls to Molag for the gift. I'll need to replay to make sure, feel free to correct me on this.

No I won't. Because that is idiotic.

I'd rather see a hot chick getting it then an old man. Its still wrong, but atleast I get some eye candy with Serana involved. :hubbahubba:

I also suspect they've run into problems implementing werebears.

Why? Well similar reasons, but also they've already made a lycanthropy perk tree attached to Dawnguard.
The problem? DLCs can't reference each other. For example Honest Hearts for New Vegas had a much-loved perk called Grunt that effected more modern firearms (no revolvers or older firearms) and made them better. Unfortunately, many guns from other DLCs that would be viewed as modern firearms weren't effected by it simply on the basis of DLCs not being able to recognize each other without potential for bugs and crashes.
Now that they've given us the lycanthropy perk tree via Dawnguard, that means that if Hearthfire or hell, even the base game offers werebears in the future, it most likely will NOT benefit from that perk tree. They have to make a seperate one for werebears, which might be odd considering the perk tree would basically be named "Lycanthropy Junior."

Or maybe we simply WON'T get werebears...

Holy crap, Jiub is in the Soul Cairn? Haha. For those who do not know, Jiub is the first NPC you meet in Morrowind. He has the same voice and everything. I am watching it right now.

On topic: So there is no other way for a vampire to be pureblooded? Unless the mother who had the child went through the same molestation ritual.

Get all the pages of his life story and read it, its badass.

Helluva not of souls. I tried looking for Dawnguard videos were the player is already a vampire to see how rthe dialogue is different, but those kids always join as either regular or werewolf -_-
