So, for those that know... What are the disadvantages of having the werewolf 'curse'? If there is no forced transformation is being a werewolf more of a utility now? Can I have the curse but never transform for a month game time with no consequence?

I'm still curious if there is a limit to how long we can remain in the werewolf form. I'd like to think there isn't or if there is it is quite lengthy because if we can only remain a werewolf for short periods of time it'll severely cripple my enjoyment of running through the woods picking fights with the bears! :toughninja:
it has been said that you lose health progressively if you do not kill and will transform back to human form at 25% health. To regain lost health, you must devour fallen npc victims. I hope we can continue running around as a werewolf and not lose health progressively after we killed one or two people. I would love to roam the woods as a werewolf killing elk and deer once in awhile.

Does anyone know if effects of your gear disappear when you transform? Enchantments, weapons and such. I hope they disappear, since you don't exactly wear them when your the beast.

You don't have anything in inventory in beast form. All you have is claws and teeth.

2 or 3 minutes? Hmmm I thought it would be a bit longer than that.
Wonder if the drain is percentage or flat. A flat number could take a while if you invest in health.

Yeah, or like Let Me In or Blade: The Series.

Dark Brotherhood has spoilers, but you may already know.

Spoiler
Shadowmere returns. Red eyes and everything. Lucien Lachance makes an apperance as a ghost of sorts and even comments on shadowmere and past events, he also has the same voice actor. One quest you have to assassinate the Emperor of Tamriel.....(His true identity I cannot spoil).

It's what I heard from many sources. People even have pictures to back it up. No news on sanctuary, but someone here must know.

Also, I always wondered who those Nords in Infernal City where in Hircine's realm. It seems when werewolves or werebears die in Nirn, they spend an eternity with Hircine in his Realm.

Been following different werewolf discussions for a while now. But I'm still wondering how the whole werewolf transformation will work.
My theory is that if you do all of Hircine's quests, you will be awarded the Additional Werewolf Transformation ring, which allows a person to become a werewolf at will. But can you get this ring without being a werewolf?
Also, if you become a werewolf within the Companions guild, does this mean forced transformations? And the only way for transformations at will, will be Hircine's ring?

I'm guessing the Hircine questline will improve the abilities of being a werewolf, while just becoming one might make it less useful, and more like a curse.
You basically turn the curse into a blessing through hard work.

Thoughts?

Hell yeah. I am sure if you were blessed in Nirn with new werewolf abilities like in Bloodmoon, he would welcome you to his Realm when you die. Werewolves get to hunt with Hircine at night time. Werebears go about the day, prowling the open plains and deep forests searching for prey. Hell of an afterlife. I am sure being a Lycanthrope means you have the benefit of being the hunter.

I was dicussing this earlier with someone, compared to Molag Bal and vampires, Hircine actually gives a damn about his werewolves it seems. Sure, there are penalties for not doing as told, but then again he does bless them.

1. Hircine gives powers for a sucessful task: Sharper claws to better tear the flesh of enemies. A companion bone-hound you can summon to fight by your side and aid you in your travels. The hunter's wind ability to completely heal self if injured. As well as enhanced strength, speed and resistance to diseases, even as divine as corprus!

2. He hosts a hunt for werewolves every Era. Unleashing them in Solshteim so they can hunt in their leisure and get more power as they search and destroy their prey.

Molag Bal on the other hand would probably molest any vampire that goes into his Realm and throw them into a charnel house. Hell, the first vampire he created was made by him because he sixually assaulted her and left her for dead. What a [censored].

Yes..It is one thing to have your worshippers and creations fear you...But quite another to have their respect and loyalty...Hircine shows himself to be a true father to all of his children...

I'm very excited about how the Hircine quest will play out if your a werewolf, I'm sure the other werewolf will be very different around you (they'll assume you know where they are comming from, sense you are a werewolf as well) Hircine will treat you different too I'm sure, as one of his Hounds. It almost makes me not want to spare the werewolf and dissapoint Hircine, sense he cares about his Hounds and the werewolf I'm sure deserves the death he has warranted for it, but I want that ring!

What I was wondering about is, when you kill someone while in Werewolf form.
Will a bounty be placed on your head?
Will guards recognize you, even though you killed in Werewolf form?

This doesn't really relate to Skyrim as your character technically doesn't age anyway, but are werewolves immortal like vampires? Or are they just mortal? Or do they live extended lifespans?
