Most annoying NPC voice?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 6:03 pm

For me it's Elda Early-Dawn. Gah! How I wish I could run her through with my blade, the insufferable wench! Perhaps I should get on that...

Whoever did the voice acting for female children did a good job of making them as annoying as hell.

Cicero. The next worse would have to be a thousand times worse to compare.

I know this voice actor does lots of voices, and mostly she doesn't sound annoying, but I really think Elisif the Fair sounds like a whiny teenager who doesn't get to go to THAT party and broke her nail on the top of that.

Cicero, Argonian male, Karliah, Dunmer male (Australian) and the Belethor clones all over the map. And the male guard of course. And all children.

Agreed. I'd almost rather jab rusty knitting needles in my ears than listen to him rattle on.

Dunmer have a cockney accent I'm pretty sure. Could be wrong...

Also, what's so wrong with Argonians? :<

It's annoying because it's regular human. It has no beast tone at all. Oblivion Argonians were much better.

While I do miss the Oblivigonians, Skyrim's Argonians do have a slightly reptilian tone to their voices.

Mercer Frey. If the voice actor who'd done him had only done him, then it would be okay. But the guy's voice shows up in so many different characters and they all sound exactly the same. The guy has one voice and that's it. For me, it's the most immersion breaking experience in the game because no matter who the character is supposed to be, they all sound like Mercer Frey.

Belethor. When he says, "Do come again," the tone of his voice is such that I cannot tell if 1) he is supposed to be gay; 2) he is supposed to be obnoxious, or 3) bad voice acting.

Whoever the "tough guy" actor is that does Arnbjorn, Maul and Dirge. I can't stand it.
And the dunmer voices. They sound like an Australian who's lived in the South of England for a long time, or vice versa.

The new Dunmer voice used in Skyrim is the most annoying for me. I liked the Dunmer voice from Morrowind the best

Keep in mind that he says that to female characters as well. Right after talking about selling his sister (if he had one). Extremely creepy. Some people complain about the lack of brothels in Skyrim (which I, as a woman, find relieving). Maybe they should see Belethor to hear if he has someone to offer. ^^

Btw I even heard guards comment that he's sleazy. No kidding...
