Daedric, no comparison. Omg.
Yeah,I just made a set of Daedric Armour and it looked so silly I had to go right back to Ebony.

The best outfits are the Thalmor robes... pure awesomeness.

Nazis ("National socialists" in case Beth's inane wordfilter gets to the word) always had the best uniforms.

Most armors in Skyrim are pretty silly; skirts with uncovered knees are the norm, which is just stupid in sub-arctic climate. "full" armors are usually the typical fantasy fare, that is way too big and way too bulky to be practical.

But yeah, female Forsworn armor wins hands down.

The point of being a thief is not to be seen. If you're a thief running around in the streets, you should find a new profession.

Why would every thief have to hide and jump the roofs. Thief is anyone who's stealing, pickpocketing and stealing from street stands included, and those require you to walk in the street. Wearing a full set of demonic armor from other world will do wonders to scew you up. Then again it should add to the terrifying poinst, if I'd see a person in full daedric stealing crap from my stand I'd even pay him/her not to kill me.

It's made for nords, and nords live there for a looong long time. They're not that cold anymore as it would be for someone else who'd come from say Cyrodiil or Hammerfell.

On the note of other armors, people- this is a bloody fantasy game. If it bothers you that much go larp or play Rome Total War, or make a realistic armor yourself, or whatever. If a game features elves of any kind you can expect at least a few sets that feature some kind of 'extravagant' designs.

Dragon Bone and Dragon Scale are both so ugly I refuse to wear it or even put it on Lydia. Glass is really ugly, too. Shame, Glass was so elegant in Oblivion.

Let me remind you that all Imperial armor in the game features skirts.

They aren't natives of Skyrim, so I don't think the empire would pay for making a different uniform for every soldier out there. :P

They are not skirts. They are LEATHER COMBAT TUNICS. The Romans wore 'em, and they looked pretty awesome imo.

The average temperature in Skyrim is probably r-e-a-l-l-y cold
That depends. Winterhold probably only reaches a max temperature of 60 degrees Fahrenheit in the hottest days of summer, but Falkreath is probably quite warm at that time (max 100 degrees Fahrenheit, I'd assume). The southern half of Eastmarch is filled with hot geysers and a generally warm atmosphere, and one of the NPC's I met there said it can get unbearably hot in the caves in that region sometimes, so I'd assume that's one of the warmest places in Skyrim with a max of 120 degrees Fahrenheit at the surface.

I haven't worn a Fine Hat or indeed much "Fine Clothing" all game long.
Maybe its just me but I'm happier in tavern wench clothing but there you have it. Just remember the clothes someone wears say nothing about their morality

My pure mage wears a fully enchanted chef's tunic and hat, a pair of gloves and the shoes that resemble clogs, clogs being the traditional footwear for a chef.

That looks ridiculous, but funny as hell when frying Falmer in a dwarven ruin and viewed from the third person perspective.

The Romans also lived in Italy with winter temperatures of around ten degrees celsius. And the soldiers occupying northern provinces actually wore pants(in fact they looked nothing like the iconic legionnaires).

The female versions of the Savior's Hide, Ancient Nord Armor and Stormcloak Officer Armor were all very disappointing. I'd like to think the ancestors had more sense than that.

Just because it's fantasy doesn't make some of the armor any less ridiculous.

Yeah but that's a matter of taste. I think it's ridiculous to make a topic about how you don't like some armor set. Either download a mod that changes it, make it yourself, or don't use it. Pretty easy, and much easier than making a topic about it, flooding our boards and making the job harder on the mods. I'd understand if topic would be constructive in any way, but it's really not.

The idea of an orgianization like the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves' guild actually having a UNIFORM is silly. As an assassin or thief, the LAST thing you want is an outfit that proclaims your profession, for cryin' out loud!

If this thread was so pointless and stupid, why didn't you just ignore it? Rather than feeling the need to come in and participate?

It's a thread where people discuss their opinions about an aspect of the game. That's what these forums are for.

Yeah well, I can't argue with that point. Forums are not what they used to be.

This wins, or maybe a tie with the bizarre desire of Necromancers to paint or weave giant skulls onto their chests. Too many geeky comic book readers in Tamriel that turn to wizardry?

Though, yeah, the fur/leather bikiini thing is out there, at least there's some historical precedent for half naked barbarians of both genders. (Celts, Maori, etc.). The bigger problem with fur bikinis is that they didn't really coexist in the same time period and region as, say, plate mail.

forsworn armor as winter formal wear (head dress and gloves are kinda nice) and, of course, all those dresses that have their sleeves tied to them, I understand that's a real thing but it looks so bad, it's why we don't see them today.

And yet they turn their back and i pickpocket them silly :lmao:

Extreme really devoted fan alert.

Extreme... actually I'll save myself from warning this time.
I'm just defending a decent design that's not any worse than usual desings out there, I'd even say it's above average quality than the crap we usually see. If nothing, this topic should have a "flaming ***s alert", along with dozens of other topics around here. I'm out.

Eh, Dark Brotherhood armor prettymuch takes it.

Running around in a red and black wetsuit and/or COBRA Commando armor is just jarring. And makes no sense for covert assassins! If they were gonna mess with the black (Oblivions weren't too bad, Morrowind's DB outfits looked equally strange with the scuba-suit like quality), adding grey or white for the snowy terrain would've make a lot more sense.

LOL. I love you, dude/tte. This is exactly the kind of neurotic, nitpicky thing I do with friends.

Sounds awesome. Now if Skyrim only had a Little House on the Prairie outfit. With those clogs...
