They all don't really seem to fit into Skyrim very well. Nightingale especially, due to the Batman vibe it gives off.
Why do people say that the Nightingale armor looks like batman? It doesn't it looks like the Phantasm from Batman the Mask of the Phantasm.

I take issue with the Dark Brotherhood robes. Assassins don't need a bright red robe with a black hand.

The Nightingale armor is deadric origin, but atleast it doesn't look entirely out of place like deadric armor.

I think the Dark Brotherhood outfits are awful! Tight little gimp suit, or MC Hammer robes? Pffft, please!

Merely three runs?

Well, the fantasy temperatures in a fantasy world don't bother me that much. I've played CLS Craftybits in the woods of TES-IV for years... and that's nuff virtual realism for a life, or even two ^^

Honestly, my vote goes to Dragonbone Armor, closely tied by Daedric Armor. Both look more like something from a GWAR / KISS album cover than effective combat gear.

Bah, Foresworn armor is awesome, really my second fave light armor, second to nightengale. Coare the characters I use it are Khajiit and they have a natural fur coat.

Actually, no. It's more like the point of being a thief is not being noticed. There's a difference. Sometimes it just means blending in and remaining inconspicuous. A good pickpocket should be able to steal your coinpurse while looking you in the eyes. In something as flamboyant as the nightingale armor, you'll never be inconspicuous.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I didn't know of this Phantasm untill you mentioned it and I searched it up. It's a pretty obscure character. People are more likely to refer to Dr. Doom instead.
But anyway in my case it's Batman that is the first person that comes to mind when I look at the Nightingale Armor set. Very strange for a setting like Skyrim.

It's in the title, folks. What's yours?

My choice is the Forsworn fur bikini. http://www.witchqueensia.com/gallery/d/54634-1/Skyrim051.jpg. At least, if you're going to go for the "wild, crazy, primitive natives" angle, make sure you treat the males the same way.
I think those are hot! I get a boner every time I loot those female forsworn !

The Asians like such kind of armor. Perhaps it is a tribute to or bait for the many customers over there. Who knows

Aye, especially considering that the Elder Scrolls http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_First_Scroll_of_Baan_Dar wears Chainmail...

Nightingale armor sounds like something you could earn for fighting against the Thieves' Guild's support of corruption.

I stick to mi steel plate armor. It suits mi boobs so well.
Seriously, most of the TES-V armor looks rather too-too, as mi grandma might have muttered.
We'll see some conversions of good stuff from TES-IV soon, hopefully.

Yeah, the blue potion... the tiger within

The Reach is unseasonably warm, making the outfit less absurd than people make it out to be.
I've never seen an official weather report for the Reach, but to me, I get the impression that it's cold and damp. Not what I would consider good weather for a fur bikini.

I'm with Mitheledh on this one. It looks damp and cold, not humid and hot.

There's a loose pad of fur they wear over their chest to protect against thrusts. The sides are still bared, as is much of the chest and belly.

Compare the female and the male outfits. Every society is much more comfortable with men baring more skin than women. If the society leans toward practicality, women will be as covered as the men. So it appears that the society is a more ritualistic one, instead -- as you point out, the men do "show skin", too -- but then the men should have as little clothing as the women.

Of course there are societies that have a happy medium of practicality and ritualism, but this doesn't seem to have been the intent with the Forsworn. There seems to have been some confusion -- or deliberate compromise -- between the lore and the actual presentation.

I agree. I think the dev team decided for style over substance on the Nightingale front. Which is a valid design decision. You have to visually establish the specialness of special items in some way, and outlandishness is the most obvious flag.

I already said that http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988732882/screenshot/649876689769992010?tab=public. Not that i'm complaining... Whistling:

I haven't even seen that armour yet. I have to play as a female in my next playthrough. Women have the weirder outfits!

when i see Nightingale armour i always think of Tali from ME for some reason.

Anyway, i think the whole point to the Nightingale armour is to wear it when out in the wilderness, at night. That's the only time i have it on as it's silly strolling around cities with it on.

I think the female Falmer armor is even stupider. Not only is it ridiculously skimpy, it has pointy bits sticking off of it. And my girls don't even look hot in it, IMO.

There's no "female Falmer armor" though. It looks practically the same on a male. And there are no female Falmer around who'd need armor anyway. I suppose the Falmer society has a rigid divide between what the sixes are supposed to be doing, so the females are attending to their "wifely duties" somewhere further underground.

The Psijic robes remind me of Assassins Creed... not exact but. That being said I actually like them. Pant's... I ain't climbing around mt's in skirts!

Robes for the most part I think are impractical. Some of the armor is just as goofy looking but at least it has style... maybe not mine but style!

Think about sneezeing in some of that armor...

I love the Nightingale armor, I think of it more as a master assassin armor than a thief armor even tho it's a thieves guild reward. I also only wear it when carrying out a contract.

corr. That little furry bikini does it for me. Come here my little Breton honey. I'm getting me a ticket into High Rock.

not replying to your actual comment, but what it says below it. I was just wondering if nords etc where europe, and redguards where africa, and khajiit where asia, where do the argonians fit in? You even got the akaviri guys, but not our lizard friends D: Also akavir are obviously asia. If khajiits where middle east, then ya.

You know, I find that on average, the higher up the teir, the more ridiculous the armor gets. I much more prefer the lower stuff like the iron, steel, leather, scaled, etc.
