[WIPREL] Multiple Followers

It would be absolutely great if he (Foobar) could make this compatible with the multiple marriages mod, I can wait almost forever cause with these 2, I will not stop playing Skyrim :D

So i was looking at the directions to increase the amount of followers this mod can support but i can't seem to understand foobar's instructions so can anyone please clarify?


The max number of followers should be able to be increased without major difficulty: to do so, change the aaaMaxFollowers global to the appropriate value, duplicate the follower quest aliases in DialogueFollower, add more ReferenceAlias properties to DialogueFollowerScript and change the conditional branches in it as appropriate.




^I don't understand what to do but i do realize i have to use creation kit which is what i was doing

I've been using this for about a couple weeks now and everything has been great other than a couple outfit/equipment bugs. Today I actually ran into a problem where the debug won't pop up like usual, but they still dismiss/follow when I do it. But my dog Meeko won't actually follow me anymore. I noticed it happen when I had my 2 companions + dog wait, and then I went away and fast traveled back. And from then on, no more debug messages and a constant "follow me" shows up from Meeko.

But I managed to fix it. And I think it may have been a mod I recently tried that caused it (Companions Relax 2). Anyway I had to do this:
- Dismiss all followers, save
- Uninstall Multiple Followers (everything! including its files in scripts folder, that was important!), then save again (cleansave)
- Reinstall and have everyone follow you again (with Meeko I had to say follow me after rejoining)

And the outfit bugs I've experienced are like this:
- My companions switch to their default outfit when I go through a load screen.
- Companions I haven't talked to yet aren't wearing boots...easy and odd way to see who is a companion lol.

^^ Again this mod doesn't touch NPC clothing/armor so it's some other mod that's causing your outfit bugs.

This mod work really nicely and without issue, thanks a lot for making it.

I do have some annoying companion behavior though.
I am playing with 4 custom companion at the moment and most of the time everything goes fine but sometime they get what I would call unresponsive behavior.

For example,

- I finish a fight and my companions just stand still doing nothing and I have to walk 30+ meter before they start following again.

- There's always one companion that seem to struggle following me.


And if I can make a suggestion,
It would be nice to have some kind "follow" command on a hotkey press (or spell) and a hotkey (or spell) to teleport the companions at the player location.
Waiting for the companion after jumping off a rock can get old. :tongue:
I have tried the http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4322 plugin but it only work with one of the companions.

Still an amazing plugin I couldnt play without.

I've noticed this with also. I thought it might have been the custom follower I was using. I only have 2 followers and my 2nd seems to get stuck. She won't interact with me at all. I've had to "resurrect" her. I haven't tried just running away. I will have to try that as it's a bit easier than stripping her down and "kill/resurrect" her then re-assigning gear.

Yeah! That would be awesome, but I think it will have to be the modder that has to make it work on multiple followers because his mod seems to contain all the scripting. This mod changes the follower "quest" to allow more than one follower at a given time, ie. it's based on follower system. Of course, unless Foobar decides to implent it himself :).

Just for info, I had a nightmare finding the Skyrim data folder to extract to. Found it eventually on my PC at

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data

Hope that helps anybody else struggling.

Well I did make compatibility files(esp and two main scripts), for personal use, that make TCG and Multiple followers work together and allow followers to ride owned mounts (the one thing i always missed in all computer RPGs - a merry group of adventurers riding along from adventure to adventure hehe). If Foobar is okay with it i could upload them for peoples to use.

I'm also experiencing the strange problem of my followers having ther defult outfits respawn and being equipped over and over. Strangely though, out of my party of 6 followers, 2 are unaffected o_O

While I know that it has been stated that multfollowers doesn't affect npc outfits, does anyone know of a way for me to export my load order? I have 98 mods atm and the NMM does not have a export load order function =\

fLokii that would be great!!!!! One reason i'm not playing Skyrim yet is because of this incompatibility between Multiple Followers and TCG!!!

Well, after 2 days hardore playing with Jenassa and Brelyna is loads of fun!

However, I run the Deadly Traps mod and the 2 of 'em kept jumping on pressure plates.............

There is a Steam mod to stop followers jumpin on pressure plates/activating traps..... as it's on Steam no way I can see what files it wants to use so no idea if it's compatible.

Also, I would like to use the multiple marriage mod which I have read is incompatible.....

So, a multiple follower control interface would be nice, but is it going to have to be the case that if I use this mod for multiple followers, I can never marry both Brelyna and Jenassa and they will forever keep jumpin on traps to laugh at me getting wiped?


EDIT:

The author of "Follower Trap Safety" available on the Steam Workshop tells me " This mod only changes few scripts used by traps so there is no compatibility issues with Multiple Followers. You can use them both." Will try it out and update this EDIT if something goes wrong.

Successfully married Jenassa while running multi followers with Brelyna looking on very jealous (script auto dismissed Jenassa for the ceremony, but allowed me to re recruit post ceremony). Also, while running multi followers successfully had Jenessa move into the Archmage Quarters using "Spouses Can Live Everywhere" on Nexus which I gambled would not conflict with multi followers. Have now gone back to playing from a pre marriage save in case a future up date to multi followers that introduces multiple 'partners' would be nerfed by being already married ^^

The latest beta (version 0.4) worked great. I took three Riften-based companions plus Erandur traveling the area northwest and north of Riften. Apart from bears' nest in the wilderness and a simple cave occupied by a Master Necromancer, I have not ventured into multi-level dungeons occupied by hostiles. It's a good experience nevertheless.

I forgot to take some screenshots, maybe later... :tongue:

When I ask a follower to follow me after the first one, they say "lets get going then" or whatever their dialogue may be, but they do not follow me or move at all when i move. If they are standing they take out weapons when I do, but do not follow. I have tried with all the companions and Uthgerd and it always happens. It does add a follower to follower count every time i tell them to follow me. I am using the Beta. I thought Id overwrite it with BAIN tools to see if it made a difference and it didnt. I have disabled all mods except those where i store my things and spell additions. Midas Magic, Dovaahkin Hideout and Retreat, Phenderix's Magic Evolved, Orlong's Hearth 1.1, The Reserve, Conjuration Madness, and I was using Followers Keep up and Followers don't die, but i disabled those and it hasnt changed anything. Thanks for the help!
