The Vampire Lord is said to be a "paragon" of the species. So, there is some dark secret vampire occult stuff that was hidden away.

I love dark occult vampire stuff. Hope this goes well. Meanwhile -goes to get microsoft points-.

How do you know he's of the Cyrodiilic varitey? because he claims it he is? Absolute fact, in Daggerfall they had three vampire clans, all of them could hide there nature and live secretly among humanity. How do you know its a retcon it could have been intended as a possible lie to begin with. If you were a Volkihar vampire you'd have every reason to lie about your clans abilities make people believe that only the Cyrodiilic strain could hide its nature and the best way to do that, claim your a member of a different clan.

The story's climix doesn't flow as well if the twist isn't that he's Cyrodiilic vampire. He's lamenting that he couldn't find a Cyrodiilic vampire, and lo and behold he's talking to one.

If it was intended as a lie I'd think they'd include something to hint at that rather than have absolutely nothing to contradict it.

Hope this doesn't turn out to be the case. The Volkihar are supposed to be living under the ice, not partying it up in castles. I want the Volkihar to be included, but not if they're totally unlike anything we've been told thus far.

Who's to say that the Volkihar don't have tunnels that run beneath the castle to below the surface of the lake? Since they're undead, they don't need to breathe (underwater breathing), and they're immune to cold. They can swim underneath the frozen lakes/rivers surface during the day in order to move around, without being seen by mortals or burned by the sun. Where do you think the "lore" of them living and popping out of frozen lakes comes from?
How do you think you infiltrate their lair as a Dawnguard? Certainly not through the heavily Gargoyle guarded front doors...

So given that there's possibly a werewolf perk tree I wonder if they will acknowledge that the player is a werewolf and if the perk tree is unlock through the story or it just randomly happens !?!? :woot:
