Just read the scans, they say that the legendary dragons are just a added feature and are not involved in the dlc's main quest.

I'm more interested in Soul Cairn and the Ideal masters. Did the gameinformer mention them?
No, only that we visit the realm of Soul Cairn where the lost souls dwell.

Until I can see complete confirmation and whatnot, I'm going to lie to myself and say that the castle is named after the original Volkihar, but inhabited by a different strain of vampires after the Volikihar decided that living in castles wasn't really their thing anymore/they were run out of town.

I know the odds of this being the case are slim to none, but I really hope this is the case.
I believe so too. That or maybe the Volkihar evolved throughout the centuries.

Let me quote it:

"Your quests for Dawnguard and the vampires will take you to several locations, and one of them is(light shines on the word, making it obscured), the plane player visited multiple times in Elder Scrolls IV. Unlike the fiery fields(light again obscured the information from the scan).

We are returning to Mehrune's Realm. Fact.

"Your quests for the Dawnguard and the vampires will take you to several locations, and one of them is a realm of Oblivion - the plane players traveled to multiple times in Elder Scrolls in Elder Scrolls IV. Unlike the fiery fields of that game, Dawnguard's piece of Oblivion has a ghostly, ethereal visual style. Dubbed the Soul Cairn, this haunting realm of trapped souls offers a change of scenery from the stark, Nordic surroundings of Skyrim."

For the vampire lord, it would appear you won't need to use perk points. You earn the perks for biting or draining life force, or at least that is how it is suggested to work.
This would make sense for the werewolf form too. The problem with adding a perk to tree vampires or werewolves is one whats the associated skill? what happens to perk points spent if your cured. Having your vampire or werewolf perks be earned rather then spent solves the problems nicely.

Spoiler
Hope this doesn't turn out to be the case. The Volkihar are supposed to be living under the ice, not partying it up in castles. I want the Volkihar to be included, but not if they're totally unlike anything we've been told thus far.

Funny story most of the written lore on vampires in the Elderscrolls series are contained within books written by vampires..... Why should we expect anything we've been told to be true.

Thank you. I found the better picture of the magazine. So, we do not return to Dagon's realm.

No one can run from their destiny forever. Sooner or later you're going to have to accept what you really are.
I accept who I am, I just hate going to visit a blacksmith only to find he's been eaten by a dragon. Then going to the next town and not being able to find another NPC. I avoid it because dragons are a bother, I wish the vanilla game had a quest to stop the random dragon attacks.

Actually an in-universe fiction at that, i think they are only mentioned in the immortal blood book once.

I think it'd be pretty lame to go "Oh yeah, all that lore we established up until this point was made up by vampires to deceive their prey." If they were going to do that, the least they could have done was offer some conflicting reports and stories that contradict what the vampires have said.

Oh yes, they definetly should. Looking at the dialogue of the spirits in the Soul Cairn, we can tell their probably spirits of vampires.

For those who do not know what the Soul Cairn is, it is a Spirit Realm of the dead. http://www.imperial-library.info/content/soul-cairn

I cannot post any links. And besides, the werewolf perk tree has no image. Just words that confirm some of the new perks regarding Lycanthropy. Like the Vampire Lord tree, we can assume you get new perks by devouring prey.

Most of you may already know this from the recent influx of information, but we can also turn into a swarm of bats as seen in the preview. And we can transform to the Man-Bat Vampire Lord at will and return at will.

That's a nice feature. I really wish that had been included with Werewolves. Getting trapped in a narrow corridor and having to wait 8 minutes to change back because you can't use the wait feature because there's an enemy just out of reach makes one feel quite impotent despite being a werewolf.

I don't think we can trust the gamejam video for Dawnguards additions.

In my honest opinion, werewolves shouldn't even be able to revert back to their human forms until next morning. But thankfully Bethesda backed up the reason why the werewolves in Skyrim are different from Bloodmoon and Daggerfall with the Glenmoril Witch pact fact.
