I did my best to avert my eyes from reading the

Nomrom(backwards/spoiler don't read) side quest, luckily I have no idea what it entails yay. But nice info on the factions. Also the info on various ways to get into Vegas are great, skills are having more effect on things and of course more choices of how to do things.

It may still be used to move around the strip.

I think the New Vegas city will be pretty big, and so maybe the monorail gets you around the entire place. I don't see why they'd have a monorail just for the Strip -- it isn' that huge.

Fallout: New Vegas is due out October 19, and I hope Obsidian has the chance to put a bit more polish on it before shipping it out. The portion of the game I played frequently had issues with maintaining a stable framerate, and the AI quite often had problems quickly finding the best path while moving. These aren't particularly new issues to those that have played Fallout 3, and the game still works as you'd expect, but I still remain ever hopeful for an improved experience.

Hmmm. I hope that Obsidian fix this also. I mean really. If they didn't change anything for the graphics, then there's no reason why they didn't have the time to fix these little problems..

So is it only an initial payment or do we have to pay EVERY time we want to go in? I really really hope not that would be ridiculous. I wonder what item would allow you in that's weird? And can't you just take the guards out? If you are a high level character with sick weaponry I don't see why not?

:obliviongate: it would most likely be a one time payment, in FO3 there were places you had to pay like tenpenny tower ,, or meresti underground, you payed 100 caps one time, 2000 caps is a lot so it would be just a one time deal ,i'm almost positive, but like others said, there are prob various ways to get in just like in FO3 you could get in tenpenny tower or meresti underground in other ways.

I saw that it said spoilers, so I decided to skim the preview so I wouldn't see anything too cool. Then I was like: hey there's the word "puppy"! Then I was like RAAAAAGGGGEEEE.
Now I feel stupid for reading what I shouldn't have.

I was intentionally avoiding creature lists as more and more throwbacks got revealed and I didn't want to be spoiled.

The mention of needing a bit more polishing is not exactly what I was hoping to read. I was under the impression that they've had a fair amount of time at this point to do some polishing. Hopefully with another month of tweaking they can improve some of the framerates and AI path finding issues. I assuming this play session was on the 360.
