New patch is arriving soon for all platforms! Confirmed

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 10:21 pm

For PS3 anyway, I'd like to see them take the quest menu out of the dumb start menu. the start button menu should be save, load, settings and quite and that's all. Make the quest info something like right on the d-pad and character info could be left on the d-pad. I don't think those buttons are used for anything else..

Hopefully it fixes the menu when trying to sell items or buy items. When I click a catagory, it closes the menu sometimes.

You can map the left\right d-pad as quick weapon changes, I bet there are alot of people that don't know this.

Select the weapons\spells you want, then hold down on the left or right d-pad (hold down long enough it will put a 1 next to your weapon\spell in your favorites menu). Select alternate spell\weapon and hold down the d-pad to the right. You can easily switch from bow to sword\shield without having to access the inventory menu all the time.

Still no word. Ugh. I'm anxiously awaiting news that the weapon racks and placement of items will be addressed in a patch. What's really frustrating is that a friend of mine also plays on the Xbox 360 and has no problems with these at all. Very inconsistent.

I just wish they'd at least say that they are "aware" of certain problems are are at least looking into them.

Hmmm... possibly to fix the slight freeze with Autosave. Maybe the floating object upon pickup... I like the telekinesis stuff, but is funny when you pick some things up and it starts floating around wherever you go.... muah mauh ahhh ahhh ahhhh

I am gonna ask a noobish questions so...flame if you must.

So I haven't really had any of the bad bugs with the PS3, but I do lag now and again. Is that something that can even be fixed through a patch? I have no where near the technical prowess to know if that could even be fixed through a software update.

I imagine/hope it could be...

I hope it fixes the flubber physics. I think rogue cauldrons flying at 300mph have killed my mage more than enemies have.

:lmao:

Nothing major here, other than texture streaming and finding random weapons in mid-air in the middle of knowhere.

Hah yeah. There's a certain pit beneath a certain college that's filled with bones...go into that pit at your peril.

It slowly sneaks up to you, pokes you in your side and mentions some nasty things about your mother.

On topic, as I'm a PC player I mostly hope the crappy shadow rendering get's taken care of.

I LOL'ed. This is certainly one of the 'fun bugs'.

Yes....LoL for sure, Skeleton bones , heads, anything flying at me or flubbering out from under my feet and somehow hitting me, its like....wow.

Undoubtedly. The "Unofficial Patch" alone for Oblivion made by collective modders fixed over 1800 actual bugs ( more than all of the bugs Bethesda fixed combined ) that Bethesda couldn't/wouldn't fix with all of their "Official Patches".

Yes, it could if/when they get around to it. Skyrim on the PS3 suffers from the same "bloated saves" bug that Oblivion had at release. When a savegame gets large enough ( around 5mb ), it starts screwing up and slows down/crashes the game.

Oblivion had the same issue with the physics. This is what happens when developers try to fool people into thinking an old engine with a new coat of paint slapped on can be renamed and passed off as a "new" engine. All the same bugs show up revealing the truth.

When do you guys think they might announce this patch? I'm really hoping its sometime this week. But on the other hand, I'd wait longer if they guaranteed to fix the weapon rack and placing items glitches.
sorry but what glitch is this?

Brand new PC Gamer here... loving my new rig; built just this month.
My game runs 30-60 FPS depending on the number of NPCs - with everything set to ultra.

I hope they are careful with what they "fix".

99 bugs in the code, 99 bugs in the code,
fix one bug, compile it again, 101 bugs in the code...
