I wonder the testic...

What will the patch fix? Just a huge thing fixing everything? I hope it fixes the ancient shrouded cowl, as right now, on two different versions of Skyrim and two different PS3's it bugs in two different ways. One has no mask piece in it and the other has nothing in it at all and only removes your hair when equipped. In addition, you can put another helmet on top of the ancient cowl to get a +35% bow damage bonus in addition to the look and effect of the other head-wear. Right now, using a ring and two cowls I have been able to get +70% damage for bows :D And yes, I want them to fix it.

I also wonder the testicl.. if they will balance smithing and maybe even add a more in-depth XP system for them. So the stronger enchantment/item you craft, the more XP you gain. (stops you from getting a lot of XP by doing iron daggers)

sorry but what glitch is this?

Weapon rack: Put a bow in weapon rack and the bow disappears into the wall, never to be seen again. Will continue to eat as many bows as you have to feed it.

Placing items: Lay a helmet ( or anything else ) on a table or dresser ( or anywhere else ) and watch everything in the house blow everywhere because of the stupid physics system.

I am sure that weapon racks are at the top of their agenda

LOL! that post made me laugh so hard just now! thanks for that.

I know everybody has a wish list and somewhat of a fantasy list....(ket's not kid ourselves you people know who you are). But I would just be happy with a Patch for people that have bugs in-game. I am one of the lucky ones so I haven't experienced any of this.

Personal wish,,,,,,more mana for magic?

Sorry to ask, I know nothing about this, but will a patch address issues in an existing game, or does it only work for games that are newly started?

Thanks

Depends on what has to be patched. Can't really say one way or the other until we actually see what they're patching.

For instance, patching in a visual tweak to an armor or something = likely no prob with a saved game.

Patching a fix to underlying core code ( such as the sh1tastic physics ) = might need a new game.

This is good news! Here's what I hope they fix (360 version):

1. Screen cut off.
This is by far my main complaint with this game. The HUD is too far to the sides of the screen and as a result, I cannot see my compass at all, as well as the text in the top left. Many other people have reported the same problem.

2. Texture failure.
Apparently the most prominent glitch in the game so far. Makes much of the game look like butt. Running the game off the disc is not an acceptable fix.

3. Quest glitches.
Many people are reporting numerous glitches involving quests, many of them gamebreaking in nature. For example, I have a glitch that prevents me from continuing the Thieve's Guild questline.

4. Hotkeys.
This isn't so much a glitch as it is a design problem. As it is now, 360 players have the Favorites menu and two hotkey slots. This slows the flow of battle to a crawl, especially for mages. Oblivion had eight slots, why does Skyrim not even utilize the entire D Pad?

5. Shadows.
Right now, the shadows in Skyrim look, frankly, awful most of the time. Their edges are blocky and flickering.

That's all I can think of right now. I'm sure there's more.

Let me just help everyone out here.

The [insert your particular bug you mentioned in this thread] bug will not be fixed in this patch.

why am I scared by a gamesas patch and not happy beyond belief? i am scared for my save game and potential corruption. I don't have the time in life anymore to restart a game that dies 20 hours after patch because of some random code problem they missed in patch q&a.

sigh

Hope they don't forget the graphical glitches with the PC version like shadow and texture jittering. I sent them a reminder by mail.

Hate to break this to ya bro, but that's not a bug. Time you went and bought an HDTV. Very few console games support 480p ( standard tv ) anymore.

Make back ups of the files? Or are those files also prone to corruption just as easily as the first?

Do as the rest of us who know what to expect from Bethesda and their "fixes" will do. Let everyone else install the patch and wait a week to see what new issues pop up from it.

Just remember to not let Steam update your games automatically and stay in offline mode.

Heres a bet that it ONLY fixes one possible cause of the game crashes.

Because it's due to the save file being abnormally large on PS3.
The same thing happened with Fallout: NV on PS3. It must be a Bethesda thing.

Oh, it's definitely a Bethesda ( and their renamed Gamebryo engine ) thing. Did it on Oblivion too.

Same engine as Bethesda used for all the games since Oblivion and the save game bug is an engine issue ( hence why it was in Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, and now Skyrim ). You'd tihnk after 3 previous games with the same issue every time, Bethesda would know how to fix it beforehand on the fourth, wouldn't ya?

For me:

1) Please fix Markarth house bug. I've did all the requirements, was offered the house but couldn't afford it so said no. Since then the option has never reappeared. Unless I offended the Jarl by refusing, I'm pretty sure this is a bug.

2) Please fix the Destruction non-scaling issue. All other direct-damage skills scale. Destruction does not, and it should.

3) If not 2), then at least please introduce +spell effectiveness/duration/damage enchantments, in addition to the -magicka cost ones.

4) If not 2) or 3), then at least please make +magicka regen buffs work during combat.

I'd like all four, ideally.

Thanks Bethesda!

1. I should not have to buy a new tv just for one game, when the tv I have now works just fine with every single other game out there.

2. Most games nowadays come with some kind of screen adjustment setting. Why doesn't Skyrim?

3. Lots of games these days claim to be incompatible with 480p but I have never played one that cut off the edges of the screen. If Bethesda knew about this issue beforehand, then they should have released a statement ahead of release that this would be the case. Otherwise, fix it in a patch. Not that hard.

Dunno what to tell you. That good ol' anolog tv is a dinosaur now. Just like us PC users gotta move into the future every couple years and buy new CPU's and video cards, you need to come out of the 20th century and upgrade to the same kind of tv the majority of the world now uses. I'm betting if you were on PC, you'd be complaining because Skyrim wouldn't play on your old Windows 95 rig.
