"Snow began to fall the farther north we headed. Thicker and thicker became the forrests and thicker and thicker became the snow. Before I knew it, the snowfall was so thick I could barely see five feet in front of my face. As I turned around there was no sign of Faendal, for all I know he died of dysentery somewhere back along the trail.
Then without warning, I fell, literally fell into a river. The river was running west and to my surprise it was actually carrying me away with the current! This was unexpected and no matter how hard I mashed the jump button the current kept carrying me downstream. Where in the bloody hell was Faendal with a rope when I needed him! Useless.
Luckily there was a log in the river which I managed to hop up on. I then leapfroged my way across several other logs and jagged rocks until I made it to what I had thought was the other side of the river. I ‘felt’ sopping wet and tired. I literally had so stamina left. You know, from all the jumping. I looked up and there stood Faendal, nice and dry, just smiling at me and waiting for my command. [censored]."
My favorite part, could really picture him crawling up the riverbank sogging wet and exausted just to be met the smug dryness of his friend, bringing that comanion along and refering to him as an acuall person was a stroke of genious and made it very enjoyable to read

Really loved the dust storms in Morrowind and glad they're back in a sense, seems the world is going to be alot more interesting and immersive to explore that Oblivion
