I like that. He initially wanted to play for a contender but eventually his desire to play football won over and he settled back in Oakland. I think that's a perfect place for him to finish.

Ever since we lost Asomugha, our back defense got a lot worse. Huff did what he could, but now we lost him. Branch is quick and pretty good but is banged up. Hearing that a vet like Woodson will be back better make QBs rethink their passing game!
Tebow to Patriots!!!! Hahahah.
He'll probably be a tight-end I guess, since Gronk might miss half the season. Hahaha...Tebow..
This is probably the only place that he can go and not bring the circus with him. That or Green Bay maybe.
Everytime something related to Tim Tebow happens, this thread gets revived...
Anyways, if he's still going to be a quarterback, good luck trying to start over Lord Tom Brady.. Because that's not going to happen unless he retires all of a sudden. Though maybe since New England might have some use for him. (Since unlike Rex Ryan, Belichick tends to only sign players that he can use effectively.. Not to gain some ticket sales.)
Well if you want other football news...
Chad Johnson (or whatever he's going by nowadays) was about to escape jail time this morning by entering into a plea deal but he slapped his lawyer on the butt. The judge then slapped 30 days in prison for Johnson because he wasn't taking his hearing serious.
Adam "Pacman" Jones was arrested again after he punched a female in the face with an open palm after she tried to pour and throw her beer at him. I saw the video and it looked like she was being disruptive and he was trying to push her away. I'd imagine he will get off with a check of some sort, though his prior history of legal issues may affect him negatively.
Stay classy NFL.
But how is not taking a hearing serious is illegal? I mean, Chad did it during an inappropriate time, but he hasn't exactly done anything "illegal". Unless that was counted as sixual assault.
I think his 'illegal' behavior had already been established, and his behavior in the courtroom affected the nature of his penalty.
Wow, like they really need him. But hey, maybe Brady will mentor him so Tebow will actually be as good as people keep hyping him up to be the last few years!
It's called "contempt of court." Basically, it allows the judge to slam you in the cooler for a bit if he/she decides you're acting like too much of an ass in the courtroom.
That's what I meant. Obviously he done something or was accused of doing something illegal, but I didn't know if slapping someone's ass in a courtoom is.
Why waste a roster spot on Tebow. He's still operating under the delusion he can be a successful NFL quarterback. I'm actively rooting for him to be cut as soon as possible.
He was guilty of hitting his wife. He was entering a plea deal and he wasn't taking it seriously. A judge has the ability to hold him in contempt of the court and holding him guilty of not taking the court proceedings seriously. It's his fault. He admits it and it is what it is. 30 days in prison.
Josh McDaniels. That's why he is on the team.
Yep. We'll see him play sometime but I doubt it'll be at quarterback, that is if Brady doesn't get hurt and if Tebow makes the team as the second string QB.
Sit down man, Tebow got trolled hard. Don't expect him to see any playing time.
He'll make the opening day roster I bet. There's no guaranteed money but it's so obvious McDaniels loves this guy, that I expect him to stick around a while. I don't expect to see him play this season, or even next. I still think the situation is hilarious though. The guy can't throw, turns down a backup role to a Canadian team, and gets signed as the 3rd string quarterback to the best franchise of the past decade. It's funny.
As a Pats fan though, I don't see anything to lose because he's making basically minimum salary and can be cut as quick as BB can sneeze.
Patriots cut Aaron Hernandez after his arrest. I'm thinking it's more than obstruction of justice by the way they arrested him.
Rumor has it that the Bengals are interested in Hermandez. And Hermandez is also said to be serving as Tight End in prison.
Lot of buzz, arraignment now. Lots of guns involved apparently. Murder charge too, I believe.
Edit: I'm listening to the arraignment live.
Bout to see if money can buy you out of a murder charge.
Heard about how he was being investigated the past few days, but I didn't come across the reason.
What is the charge?

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
Well, you know what they say: History repeats itself. Last time I remember an athlete that was in the news because of murder was OJ.
Ray Lewis did it, but his story led me to believe he wasn't a part of it.
