This [censored] right here is stupid. Seat Cushions? Even banning other types of bags is ridiculous. Backpacks; sure in the wake of the completely unfounded new terror associated with backpacks I could see those being banned, or at the very least checked. The rest, are just dumb.
Paranoid damn country.
There's other rules in the states(mine at least) that aren't an act of paranoia though.. All our schools here have a uniform code. No one casual wear. It was brought on by all the scandly dressed girls >_>.
No seat cushions definitely gonna stop some people from attending games.
Think that Hernandez case is going to end up like Rae Carruth. He is probably going to get the book thrown at him.
That I don't recall, but I may of been too young to remember.
And yes, that is a load of crap. No doubt that purses will be left in the car which I doubt anyone would not dare to do. I have known a good few people that had stuff jacked from their cars while they were at a game.
You believed Ray Lewis? He folded on his mates who did hard time for him. He was most certainly guilty of the murder by 'joint venture'.
He's denied bail. I just watched the bail review hearing. The evidence against him is circumstantial but it is highly believable and a damning argument.
Paranoid indeed. Seat cushions...that's a basic amenity that should be allowed anywhere you have to sit down.
I didn't even think of that. Parking lots would seem to be prime targets for thieves during games now.
I think you might be another product of the misinformation surrounding the case. Don't worry, you certainly aren't the only one.

I guess the offseason is just too long. NFL should consider shortening it and going straight to the season . Players get bored and start thinking too much and end up breaking all kinds of laws.
The season should start in August and we should get 2 more games per season.
Need more game per season. Need team here Orlando. Then crippknottick become football fan. Go Jags!
I say why not. Preseason drags on way too long anyways. Increase roster sizes and allow a second player able to come back from IR and play in the season and I don't see that being too harmful. I would rather watch meaningful football in August.

I am sure many will exchange but I wouldn't doubt if there are some who want to keep it as a collector's item or what not. I wouldn't be surprised if I see his jersey popping up on Ebay with a price tag of $5k or something

Heh, just as I thought
5k by the end of the week. Calling it now!
Thanks for the link, btw.
It is finally here, the NFL begins in just a few minutes with the reigning Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens @ the 2012 AFC West champion Denver Broncos. After miring in mediocrity for several years, the Broncos picked up future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning to turn their fortunes around into a 13-3 season and winning the AFC West. The would lose to the Ravens in the divisional round of the playoffs. This offseason they acquired former Patriots stand-out wide receiver, Wes Welker, who will provide Manning another reliable target who can be dangerous on any part of the field and should excel receiving passes from Manning's mastery of the audible and calling the quick play. The Ravens on the other hand will be returning after a championship season, which marked the end of future Hall of Famer career of Ray Lewis but also saw the departure of perenial Pro-Bowl Ed Reed, both a staple of the Ravens defense for the past decade or more. On offense they return with mostly the same crew, Joe Flacco at QB and one of the more underrated runningbacks in the league, Ray Rice. This should be interesting on how the Ravens follow up on their miraculous run.
Welcome to the 2013 NFL season.
HALFTIME EDIT: So Peyton Manning has looked sharp against the Ravens D and he is making enough plays to keep the score close. Flacco is doing enough to not mess up the game, but that interception sure didn't help things, they could have been up by more than a touchdown. Ravens have done a much better job at sustaining drives and field position though, which is their saving grace. Broncos aren't really getting their running game going, while Ravens been steady but not great. I think the second half Peyton really lets loose and puts up the points, and even without Von Miller I think the Broncos are doing a decent job getting pressure on Flacco as the game is wearing on so looking for more of that in the 2nd half.
Friday Morning Edit: Damn, Peyton Manning showing vintage Peyton Manning. The Ravens no longer having Ed Reed really showed how crucial he was to their pass defense and that man was a ballhawk as well as a decent hitter. Same goes for Lewis. 7 Passing TD's, ties the NFL record.
I absolutely love the fact that the Broncos destroyed the Ravens. I hope the Ravens tank so bad this year. Seeing Flacco take a huge contract just because they won the Superbowl, as if it was all him, and it cripple the rest of the team just makes me want to see them lose.
This x2. As a longtime Pats fan, I have a respect for Peyton, and since it's unreasonable that he'll ever get 2 more Superbowls, there's a little bit of guaranteed looking down on him (as inferior to Brady), so I'm actually kind of happy about his success. Welker is a good guy too. don't get my started on Flacco and those guys...ugh.
I still hold Peyton higher than Brady. His averages are just higher everywhere in their respective careers. I see the Patriots and Brady and I see a guy who has almost always had a really good defense, and the years they won the Super Bowls they had the 6th, 1st, and 2nd best defenses in the league (points allowed). The year Manning and the Colts won it, that defense was ranked 23rd. I'll give big props to Brady though, because you put a bunch of high skill weapons at his disposal, he can rack up the numbers like Manning does (who seems to do it regardless of who he is throwing too) and he doesn't make many mistakes. I think when it comes down to Manning vs. Brady is you got the offensive mastermind who likes to gamble because he has the best chance out of anyone to make *that* throw vs. the guy who is really good in his own right as an offensive brain and is a lot more calculating with his risks.
As far as Flacco goes, I don't think he's a bad QB or anything. He just isn't elite like so many want to proclaim he is. The Ravens are just a really competitive team, whom as the "new" franchise in Baltimore have done a really good job at creating that legacy and image. The guy almost never ranks in the top10 in any major passing statistic. I will give him credit though is that doesn't create costly mistakes, something even inaccurate QB's can do because they can be careful with the ball. Joe hits low double-digit sacks every year, but he does throw twice as many touchdowns. A 2:1 ratio like that really shows that overall he isn't going to cost you games. Though last night he didn't do the Ravens any favors by coughing up 2 picks.
Niners got it done today (though I'm sure there are some unhappy Greenbay fans that might have an issue with a certain penalty).
Next week is an uphill battle though. Seattle. At home?
Not too confident in that one.
Ravens played downright pathetic Thursday night, it was unwatchable.
Bears impressed me yesterday, I don't know if they can compete with the Packers but they played pretty good yesterday.
After that penalty, it should have been a 4th and 2, not 3rd and whatever. Gave the 49'rs another shot at the end zone for a TD rather than a FG. Essentially the screwed up penalty ruling gave the 49'rs an extra 4 points.
