So now that Europe...

loll....what? it's the other way around. europe almost always gets games later than US
I think he mean that cause of the time difference between america and europe (in europe its 6 hours earlier [regarding to 11-11-11 at 0:00] as in america).
That means when you are in europe and it is 0:00 on 11-11-11 than in america it is 16:00(6 p.m) on 11-10-11. (all depends on where you live)

Only when there's not a worldwide release (typically the US or Japan). But for Skyrim, there's a worldwide release. So it's going to be worldwide and thus it's released in Asia and Australia first, then Europe and Africa, then finally America.

In case you didn't know, the Sun rises in the East, not in the West.

We've already discussed this in numerous threads already, and Pete Hines have himself confirmed that the game IS NOT COMING OUT until the proper date. If the game stores violate that NDA, then they are going to get sued by Bethesda.
I have no doubt that Mr. Hines said as much, but it doesn't change the fact hundreds of copies have been sold before 11/11/11. In fact, there's someone only a few posts above this one that said he just got the game in Amsterdam.

That's a lot of stores to sue. They should send mods of these forums instead with the mission to threaten store owners to close their store, for the lulz.

Well then looks like they better get started because they are going to be suing hundreds of retailers it appears....

I'd actually be more concerned about when they'll receive future releases. There's a simple solution to folks not being able to discipline themselves to observe a street date. Just don't send them merchandise ahead of time. Fallout 4 worldwide release April 1. Netherlands release April 5. No problem!

Some small gamestores outside US sell the game as early as they can, as it's unlikely they ever get sued for it.
But it's not like no-one gives a sh*t about the release date in europe, or anything.

I've seen a couple of scattered posts regarding UK versions being shipped and one even being delivered as of this morning, but I have no way to confirm it.

Just bought my copy of the game for xbox 360 at a GameMania store in the centre of Amsterdam !
I was quite surprised, as I walked in to pre-order, to find it was already on sale.
"They started selling it yesterday" the girl behind the counter said.
Apart from the GameMania stores, it's also available at the Bart Smit chain - but not Dixons or Intertoys, for some reason.

First thing I'm doing tomorrow is going to Gamemania (though in Belgium)! It was sold today in GM Brugge, but where I live nothing. If they don't sell it, I'm off to Bart Smit.

Have you ever been at elementary school ?
Do you even know where Europe is on a map,and do you know it's a continent and not a country ?

Skyrim is released in 11/11/11.
Well with the EU I see how someone would think it was a country, lol. They certainly act as if the whole continent is just one big United States of Europe.

A friend from me works for a local chain store and he said to me that when they get the game (or whatever) delivered there should be a note with it and on this note there should stand the release date and a "Do not sell it before" sign or something on it, but when this is not the case then they have to place it in the shelves immiadately!

@steepledhat What? You do realize that every country in europe has its own culture history and traditions right? You also realize that the EU does not work like the US?

I think Mr.Malavok is just frustrated because of the extended shipping time to planet x, where he lives.
Might I recommend Amsterdam as a residential area ?

I heard of Netherland stores selling it today, and some forumers with consoles are already playing. Steam is still blocked though.
Dumb people not respecting Bethesda's global date.

As a revenge, I'll post this: http://bb.xieke.com/files/1/Skyrim.png

It's not like the game is being released now all over Europe. Just a few stores in a few countries.

Calm down, don't punish Minecraft.

Gamestop still releases it on 11.11.11.
And everybody who doesn't respect the will of Bethesda are not real fans.
I wonder if this will have any consequences for the stores that sells it early.
