So now that Europe...

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 7:58 am

I heard of Netherland stores selling it today, and some forumers with consoles are already playing. Steam is still blocked though.
Dumb people not respecting Bethesda's global date.

As a revenge, I'll post this: http://bb.xieke.com/files/1/Skyrim.png

Actually :P The upper pic is Xbox 360 and the lower PC :)

Well with the EU I see how someone would think it was a country, lol. They certainly act as if the whole continent is just one big United States of Europe.

Nope, we have the SEK, Pretty sure quite a few countries have their own currency, so its not really like the USE. Dont say that. 'shudders'

I think http://www.dynabyte.nl/bethesda-the-elder-scrolls-skyrim-2.html is also selling ahead of the official release date, the site says that you can pick it up on the 9th of November.

Dutch? Vikings? I think not, only us scandinavians were true vikings.

Oh and I must have missed the whole europe getting the gate super early thing, seeingas I haven't see it here in denmark, not that it matters for me seeing my copy will be on PC

Do some research, vikings also settled at the northern part of the Netherlands. So we do have viking blood. And our size can proof that (I know it has nothing to do with it), we are the biggest Caucasians.

Oh, and I will get Skyrim tomorrow if I can believe my mail. I just can't play it yet, since I've gotten the PC version, which needs a Steam Unlock. A steam unlock at Friday 2am :sadvaultboy:.

I think Mr.Malavok is just frustrated because of the extended shipping time to planet x, where he lives.
Might I recommend Amsterdam as a residential area ?
One can smoke some of the local delights whilst enjoying one's Elder Scroll game.
Thank you, Sir. I shall partake of such activities in future.

Well, I guess we'll see a bunch of Let's Play videos on Youtube already then. Oh wait...
 Since when was there a direct correlation between illegal video game sales and Lets play videos? You do also realise that Zenimax will remove any YouTube videos should they be made? I don't know why you're being so stubborn about this, it's abundantly clear from posts on this forum, video leaks, spoilers, information that would only be privy to people owning the game and leaked screen-shots that a lot of copies of the game have been sold.

Just picked up my Xbox360 L.E. All Gamemania stores in Belgium are selling it since this afternoon (gamemania.be). Had both the 360 and PS3 version on preorder but decided to get the 360 version since I think that's the version that got most attention. People are reporting the texture loading bug on 360 after installing to HDD, so this has nothing to do with a pirated copy or not. PS3 gamers are reporting very nice visuals but a lot of framedrops, which I have not seen on my 360 thus far.

has blown the release date out of the water, what are we supposed to do here in the US considering that for the next 2 days we will be flooded with streams, spoilers, and tons of various other media from those who got the game early?

:lmao:

By the way, the main reason stores are selling it early here in Belgium, is due to some holidays coming up. On 11/11/11, almost everything is closed here in Belgium, so release date had always been 11/10/11 here so people could get the game before the long weekend started. Guess some shops just decided 'early is early' and started selling as soon as games were in, which created some snowball effect with almost every store now selling the game. Good for us to get a high profile game early for a change, but come on guy, we've been waiting since what, 2006 ?, for this game. Two more days won't hurt THAT much.

The should sell it on 11.11.11. Even if the store is closed that day. A release date is a release date!

I wonder how you came to that so called "conclusion" they raided our shores but never settled here!

On topic: not sure when i will et my game but i fear it will be way past the 11th anyways so...wait and see for me i guess!

Pretty much.

"Vikings" are, by definition, exclusively norwegian. "Viking" is an anglicized version of the norwegian word "Viking" which means anyone who lived in either of the many "Vik"s of the norwegian fjords. Even the swedes weren't true vikings (they were "Sveafolk" from "Sveariket" where the danish name Sveariget --> Sverige (Sweden) is derived).

Last time I checked, there aren't any viks nor any fjords in Holland. Maybe modern-day Amsterdam is a unique exception in the "vik" department. But fjords are globally unique to Norway and Alaska (scars from the ice age).

Hold me, man.

On a less dramatic note: It's only 3 days! I can wait. Heck, I didn't even get really 'hyped' until just yesterday. And those of us who are a little more cautious can use the information the owners of the game will no doubt give out to really decide whether or not they should spend the $60.

So, really, it's a win/win!
