One Burger to Rule Them All!

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 11:33 am

Who makes the best burger in your experience?

I'd like to say the best burger I've had is from some hipster hole-in-the-wall, but all of the local places around here ruin their hamburgers. They're always dry, overcooked, and covered in a thin layer of charcoal burn. :yuck:

The best burger I've had is from http://www.redrobin.com/. The banzai burger (pineapple and mayo).

Yum.

What's your pick?

Cheeburger Cheeburger makes a pretty awesome burger (add a milkshake to that and YES PLEASE!)

I really like Jake's Wayback Burgers.

Between fast food places, Burger King makes the best burger. Whopper > Big Mac

They're mainly based in SoCal. But IN-N-OUT is spread out. I know I've seen one in Laughlin Nevada.

Best hamburguer I've ever had? Definitely from http://www.h3.com/ . If we are talking chain-restaurants, I mean...

5 guys is good but needs swiss on the menu...
http://www.mooniesburgerhouse.com/is good but needs more seasoning such as a bit of salt to enhance the flavor of the meat.

Best burger I've had is on my mom made which is odd considering her cooking skill is often miss than hit

I've had a friend tell me the best burger he has had was at P.Terry's but haven't been there yet.

Probably the burgers I made the other day, with my own home made burger buns too. Fast food wise, BK is quite nice.

A patty made from finest Kobe beef, topped with a leaf of Bibb lettuce, slices of tomato from the slopes of Vesuvius, and garnished with a sliver of gherkin, wrapped in a stone-baked, sesame-topped bun.

/hipster-glutton :P

In-and-Out actually had some mighty tasty burgers when I was last in California (years ago.) Also really great fries, cut right there from actual potatos while you watched. Some pubs in England also do a really nice burger, thick as your fist and with nice fresh beef (or aged, as you prefer) but there really isn't a good chain anywhere.

There's a place on my college campus that actually has some pretty good burgers for their price, including one topped with bacon and a fried egg. It's probably several times the daily recommended cholesterol intake, but damn if it isn't delicious.

Anything from http://www.redmillburgers.com/menu.htm works for me, but the Verde burger is my favorite.

What? :o

In-N-Out is in a lot of cities in California, and slowly spread out around Oregon, Nevada and Arizona. There's also a couple in Texas.

Best fast food burgers right there.

The 75th St. Brewery makes a great Red, White, and Blue burger. It uses fried onion strings for the white, bleu cheese for the blue, and buffalo chicken sauce for the red.

Home-made burgers are teh awesome, and are invariably better than anything I've had from an eaterie (though the eateries in question are just the usual culprits, so that's perhaps unsurprising.) My personal best is one that's simply made from minced beef and nothing else: I've tried adding all sorts of stuff like onions, egg bindings, breadcrumbs, seasonings, vegetables etc but the one thing a beefburger needs is beef, and I'm inclined to say "and nothing else". Well, other than a bun, some good English mustard and perhaps melted Stilton.

Sorry I dont eat dead animals.
I love the taste of dead animals in the morning. And at noon, and in the evening. And as snack in between meals.

The best burger I've ever had was from a pub in London, the name of which I've forgotten. Fantastic burger. As far as chains go, I like both Burger King and McDonalds, but prefer the former. Don't think I know any other fastfood chains around here that serve burgers.
