If Multiplayer is added, I will not purchase the game.

It's already screwed up enough without them wasting time and resources for online use.

Skyrim is a singleplayer. They shipped 10 mln copies. Now I ask you, what do they need multiplayer for?

??

Bethesda practically said the opposite.

They enjoy SP games that are too involved and persistent world to allow MP very well without it being tacked on and half ass

If I remember right, there was a discussion some months back about the fact that Bethesda has a separate studio working on concept design surrounding an online Elder Scrolls game. If it's true, I doubt it would stand in the way of the single player games, and will most likely be an offshoot of the series. I seem to remember something about a specific domain name being reserved for an online ES.

Doubt it and I hope not. I think many Bethesda fans flock to their games to ESCAPE from dealing with other people. They would literally be betraying their fanbase if they went in that direction.

I'd love to be able to play alongside my friends in one of our save-games. Co-op would be amazing in TES games. Not a separate co-op game mode on a separate world, an option to invite friends into your single player world. Just have a separate save file if you're worried about friends screwing you over.

Straight-up multiplayer, however, would be a disaster. Think of all the smithing and enchanting grinders running around one-shotting the roleplayers. Every single NPC in the game would be dead within minutes, every item in every home stolen or thrown onto the floor. There would be twenty-plus owners of Breezehome alone.

Alright, found the pine cone. It's a nasty SOB.

Now, we play the waiting game...

i think multiplayer to some extent would be good as in an arena where you can fight other players and have scoreboards and stuff like that but turning the game into a full-on multiplayer game is just wrong. trust me i know what's good for this series and multiplayer just isnt it.

Alot of people say it would be integrated into the single player. Multiplayer doesn't mean it's integrated with single player. Also like this user said, arena would probably be the best option. Being able to maybe wager rare items and battle to the death with other online opponents.
I see no harm in an arena based multiplayer.

Beth has shown that you don't have to sacrifice yourself to the multiplayer gods multiple times.

Wont happen in full. They might one day concievabley make some sort of Co-op mode, but even that is doubtful.

If they are looking for a way to radically kill off the series.... multiplayer would be the way to do it.

LOL, no.

They've stated over the years NUMEROUS times that they do not ever plan on making TES a multiplayer game. It's just not how they see the series.

So no, TES:VI will NOT have Multiplayer. :goodjob:

Agreed.

Indeed, if they ever break their promise and add Multiplayer then i will never buy another TES game, Once a singleplayer always a singleplayer i say. :)

People have been saying so since Morrowind. Thank goodness they've been wrong until now, and I hope it stays that way. It's a waste of developer time and money, keep TES the way it is please.

Ewww after witnessing the disaster known as Skyrim, I can't even imagine how bug infested an mmo would be... Unless of course they actually learned how to test their games properly.

With each release TES grows more popular and brings in new players, some of these new players and some old will demand new features such as multiplayer. Luckily for those of us that love the TES series as it is, the continuing success will likely ensure this remains a single player experience.

A huge open world game like Skyrim takes a lot of time and resources to make. I hope they never sacrifice some of that time and resource just to add a multiplayer mode. The more time and resources Bethesda puts into single player the better this series will get for all of us to enjoy.

I still have a bad taste in my mouth from UO.

Leaving aside everything else, Bethesda seems to be having enough trouble balancing a single player game. I'd rather leave MP to those who think it's fun to denigrate [censored] and use adolescent level taunts.

Most of us buy TES games because they are NOT multiplayer. If folks want multiplayer there are hundreds to choose from.

A multiplayer TES could no longer honour the traditions and lore of the series and if TES does introduce multiplayer, I'll go back to replaying Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.

A multiplayer TES game is not in MY future.

I feel like Skyrim will be the last stand alone single player only TES game. In an era with an increasing amount of multiplayer games, I feel like the next TES game will fall prey to this as well. No one thought the Dragon Age series would have multiplayer but now DA3 will feature it.
As bad as it may sound, I feel multiplayer wouldn't be so bad as everyone thinks.
Instead of these useless NPC characters that assist you you could have your online friend adventure along with you in a huge world.
Imagine being able to create your own shops in the game where you can set your own prices and all other players will be able to purchase from.
Co-op in dungeons and such would be incredibly fun.
Multiplayer doesn't mean the single player would have to suffer.

I hope this never happens to this series. It will completely change the feel of the game. Look at what this did to Fable. It did not improve the game. If the next game were to be multi-player I would rent the game to try out before I drop any of my hard earned money on a game that had the core feeling ripped out.

NWN was and still is my favorite RPG and I would argue that most games that came after it were "dumbed down" instead. It can be done, especially with powerful modding tools like that game had.

Bethesda aren't retards, so they won't attempt to implement multiplayer.

If I'm wrong, I'll eat a pine cone on livestream as punishment when it's announced to have multiplayer.
I'll take an arrow to the knee.

I would only like to see multiplayer implemented as an arena, where you could bet items, money, and so forth, and get the other players wager if you beat. For example level 20 vs 25, 20 bets 60 septims he could take 25, and 25 bets an iron helmet (value of 60g) or something else proportional.

I could tolerate this type of multi-player. It would not require me to take part in it. However it if does require me to take part I will have nothing to do with it. While online games can be fun with your friends and the random weirdos you encounter this is part of the reason I no longer enjoy playing games. Anymore I stick to offline mode.
