I've always wanted a proper home in the Falkreath hold.

there may be more, never know, that's better than Oblivion, you had specific locations for each of the houses and couldn't change the designs at all.

Oblivion House

-Had to Get it where it is-
-Could buy Add-Ons-
-Can't change it-

Skyrim house

-Had to get where it is-
-Could by Add Ons-
-Can't Change Design-

Hearthfire House

-Place in Forest/Snow/Neutral Land
-Could by add Ons from your Hunting, Etc-
-Can Change How it looks by Adding the Tower and Such-

If they're going to restrict me to three preset locations for only $5, I don't think I'm too upset about it.

Falkreath and Morthal are the Better Places to live Less Places

Morthal has Giant Camps
While Falkreath has 1

Dawnstar is the Worst Place to live. As far as Danger goes

I want a house in the badlands area. What is that place called again?
The burning tundra? South of Windhelm right?

Well I hope we get an estate empire with huge manor like homes that are just massive.

I am not surprised its three locations since Morrowind had three locations for the Great Houses homes you could have built.
From what I understand from what I have read about Hearthfire is that we can build a house in all three locations.
I do wish there is more than one plot if land to choose to build our house in each hold tho. I am hoping for that.

There are three locations spread out to cover the wilderness.

I hope they bring out a second Hearthfire that allows to build up onto a existing capital city. Winterhold serious is a wasted space considering it is a capital of a hold. It doesn't even have any shops. I'd like to purchase land and build real estate there. Maybe even be allowed to become jarl of the hold.

I think a dlc of the same price rebuilding Winterhold would sell well. Who wouldn't want to turn Winterhold back into a decent visitable place? It is such a depressing and pointless place considering its prime importance in Nordic lore.

Maybe as a portion of one of the larger expansion packs. I would also like to see Winterhold rebuilt. I would also like to see some of the Dunmer influences that was supposed to be a part of the city.

I would like to see it restored but if they do that I hope they make the city more substantial than the other cities the cities are pathetic in terms of size.

You people always want more, right? ;-)
Look on the bright side: "You can build your own home!"
And this add-on is so cheap!

Please try to remember that if they tried to allow custom tailoring of multiple areas of each hold, they'd have to find and alter multiple spaces to allow for a home to be built there. It's involved enough for them to designate one specific cell for this. To create many potential cells in each hold would be far more involved than is necessary.

Also, much like in the real world, you can't actually build a house anywhere.

While that might be true, if we are to look for a plot of land to build our dream home on, I would at least like a choice of two locations for some of the holds selling land. We might not all like the exact same plot of land.

Yes, but much like real life, you might go to get a permit to build in a county, only to find out that there's one plot of land left for building. Doesn't make your home any less dreamy.

Yup, the idea is, you already can own a house in the 5 major holds. The new houses are being built in the 3 lesser holds. And Winterhold fell into an ocean, so thats not an option.

Underwater house just for Argonians!

The trailer talks about a property empire, 3 houses isn't an empire. My guess is there will be a few plots in each of the announced holds, maybe 2 or 3?

I Hope so :3 But i dont want to expect to much,So i think it will be just one set place in each hold. I keep spamming bethesda employees on twitter about this x) ..
I mean my question,Can you actually choose where in the hold you want to build your house. thats my question. But i guess we will find out on tuesday

Again the same huge complication of being able to build anywhere, the locations will be preset

Yeah i agree, i do think there will be more than one plot per designated hold though. Three possible plots available in that vast expanse seems a little underwhelming. However, once i start to build my first home i won't really care, well, not until i start building my second. At £3.40 for the DLC, i really can't complain, it does sound awesome. Having to collect and craft items in order to build your home sounds great. They could add a perk tree for this alone.

I will probably start a new character build for this DLC, it would be interesting to see the evolution of your home paralel to the evolution of your character. I hope it is available from when you leave helgen.

Well in the good old days of Morrowind you only had three choices and that was based on what faction you sided with. Also the buildings were pre-set.
