Where did we get the information that there will be only 3 plots of land? Did Bethesda confirm this?

It says in the trailer....but they may have been suggestions of where to build rather than where you can actually build. Regardless, i'm not too fussed.

Jeez. If they included 5 places, people would complain and say that they want seven. If they made seven places, people would complain that they didnt include all the holds. If they included all the holds, people would complain that there wasnt one in every town as well. Stop complaining already. Its only 5 dollars. At least wait til it comes out before we make judgement on it and complain.

The development team most likely had a look on Nexus at all the house mods and worked out there was only 3 locations left in Skyrim where Hearthfire wasn't going to clash on the PC.

Yes, but much like real life, you might go to get a permit to build in a county, only to find out that there's one plot of land left for building. Doesn't make your home any less dreamy.

The Dragonborn, done in by zoning laws.

I wouldn't say it's disapointing. What I would like to see, however, is something like FO3 where we could choose a theme for our homes. Something like that for the pre-existing homes could add a little flavor to what we already have which could help increase the usefullness of this dlc.
