This was the second post of the thread and should have ended the discussion.

How about these threads are basically pointless. They have already stated t many times, that is what is going to happen, no amount of whining will not change it. before you say "they changed to add first person", that was because the ENTIRE forums, and basically EVERY SINGLE old school fan of the series complained.

I understood what you were asking, but the same answer still applies. This topic has been beaten to death. This entire game was designed around AvAvA for PvP in Cyrodiil. There is no PvP outside of Cyrodiil because that would mean fighting members of your own alliance, which is not the point of THIS game. Every fight that would occur outside of Cyrodiil would take away from the main objective of the fundamental game design.

again. it would be done only by those who want, no one else would have to engage in it. if the people who want this are minority and small numbers, yet big enough that it would work, what's the problem?

Because it would take design team time away from the actually important stuff.

The problem is that it keeps people out of Cyrodiil. The entire game is designed to filter and funnel people in to the Alliance War. Every player running around in the other zones doing PvP is one less player that is available for the real Alliance War in Cyrodiil. In order for this game to survive and strive, Cyrodiil must be the main focus to keep the populations up and the War meaningful.

Having PvP outside of Cyrodiil also introduces the issues of griefing and spawn camping, which are not possible in Cyrodiil.

how would it keep people out from cyrodiil if it's only so small number as everyone of you opposers keep saying?

and go read the thread again since you didn't get it. otherwise you wouldn't say a word about griefing or ganking.

well what do you need to change to do this? toggling pvp on everywhere, adding checkbox into character creation, letting those who check the box become unaffected by pvp and somewhat noticeable by those who don't, like merchant/adventurer title for example or instancing them to different instance as megaserver does to everyone. 3 things in total. and those seem pretty simple things.

Oh, I read the thread but somehow you have the idea that if someone sets their flag to PvP that they're up for anything. Do you really think a level 10 that sets his flag to PvP is going to be happy about getting jumped by a group of level 50's or they're going to be happy to have an entire group of level 50's camping the wayshrine?

And your argument about only a small number of people wanting it is a little ridiculous and works against you. If so few people are going to do it, than why even bother making the change in the first place. This just seems to be another instance of wanting the game catered to you instead of working within the mechanics of game, itself.

3 things that need to be changed all over the game, the code for that seems very complicated because it needs to excuse people from being attacked, while letting others allowed to be attacked. it would take way too long for the little gain.

i'd suspect it being very boring doing such thing and it doesn't matter becouse both sides wanted it and are fine with it.

well it would make them rare occasions, which would be a good thing imo.

only argument that works against this is that it would take developers away from something else for a small amount of time.

besides i want this only to spice my pve part of the game up as i level to 50, after that i pretty much will be at cyrodiil.

It wouldn't be a rare occurrence and one side definitely wouldn't like it. If you read every thread that talks about open world PvP or even the reason that people don't want to go into Cyrodiil, you will see that this is the number one reason. Griefing has happened in every game that has had open world PvP. Sure, someone can set their flag to PvP in the hopes that every fight will be fair, even, and fun, but it won't happen.

One of the main reasons that we can go to Cyrodiil at level 10 is to "spice my pve part" as you mentioned. You can take breaks from normal PvE and venture into Cyrodiil at any point to do some adventuring and return to PvE whenever you want.

stop the talk about griefing, those who check the box know what they're getting into and they [censored] love it.

which is that pvp is not possible outside cyrodiil. and many didn't want it dues griefing or ganking. i provided this solution to those issues.

On the topic of PvP being outside of Cyrodill taking away from the AvAvA in cyrodill.

Has anyone really thought this through? Its kinda like saying the ARAMs in League of legends take away from ranked games. People are still playing the game. If people look at the AvAvA and go, "Thats not for me" and don't play the game because they don't like that kind of PvP. How is that better than, "I don't Like AvAvA but that (Insert outside of cyrodill PvP idea here) sounds fun, I'll try this game out".

You could say well it takes away from "Important" stuff, but in a game that's really a matter of opinion. Its neglecting one niche to fill another.

Except to most it isn't a problem and does not require a solution..because there is already no griefing or ganking unless you go into cyrodiil

Now I think you have your head buried in the sand. This is just like saying that anybody that plays a PvP game knows what they're getting into and love it. If this were the case, there wouldn't be so many complaints.

You need to come back to reality.

Consider getting feedback from the "audience" and composing a message for Zenimax. Email it to Zenimax. Offer some kind of proof that "people censored love it", because every poll and thread on the forum has the opposite result.

Considering they built the game from the ground up around the 3 faction war and they aren't allowing any race to join any faction/alliance kind of hints that allowing anyone to kill/attack/gank/duel anyone anywhere might be a bigger deal than "just hitting a switch/flag/toggle".

i think i'll do that. and once more a little informer: this forum is not the whole world. and no hitting switch/flag/toggle, is just checking a box in character creation.
