Never said it would. All Im saying is that anything that has to do with PvP outside of Cyrodiil doesn't make sense.

The Only PvP that will ever take place is IN Cyrodiil. If you can't accept that then move on, but please stop asking for silly ideas that make no sense what so ever in this game.

I though thats what Guild vs Guild was. You attack the enemy guild where ever they are. Kinda like in EvE.

you don t get it...... gameplay would have to be changed for as it is designed now, you simply do not meet any enemy in the pve areas...you can mark yourself all you want, there are no enemies to fight!

thats why so many People told you you made a "fix" where there is no "Problem" and still you insist that nothing would have to be changed besides the "mark" at the beginning.

let's then fix this to openworld free for all if that is the specific naming to this. boom, there's players you can fight. AND ONLY THOSE KIND THAT WANT IT WILL ENGAGE IN IT.

Thats a very narrow mind set. MMOs need to appeal to a wide variety of people, otherwise they tank. AvA is nice and all but it can be compared to ranked games in league of legends. Some people just like to dike around, fight people and not have it really matter. Sure you can run around in groups in cyrodill, but that's a lot different than say, capture the flag, king of the hill, or team death match styled fights. And with Arena's already being big in Elder scrolls it provides the perfect opportunity for the placement of these battle ground esqe matches.

please do us all a favour and research some more how the PvE works here, "then" come back with a "solution", you still do not get what i mean when is say there is no enemy to fight. it has nothing to do with your marking :-)

Arenas big in Elder Scrolls? There was only one game that had one you could actually fight in.

Well, Arena was going to be about gladitorial combat, but that all changed during development (But after the box art was ll done, hence the name remained, despite the lack of an arena)

let me tell it you the easy way then, victims would be from your own alliance. and yes they all do want to be able to become victims.

You could fight in morrowinds too. And they weren't big per say, you're right, but they were present, so its not out of the question.

Yeah, but the Morrowind one didn't have much to do really outside of a quest or two.

Actually recently, the MMOs that have tried to appeal to as many players as possible have been tanking at the beginning due to trying to do too much. Games that are focused on their design goal and accept that they are targeting a more limited audience tend to do better simply because they get that dedicated fanbase. Further, the open world pvp player base is much much smaller than people seem to think. I say that as a fan of open world pvp. If you add in the fans of open world pvp that can get past the fact that it isn't here yet will still enjoy the game the number becomes even smaller. There are a lot of open world pvp MMOs out there and they are all struggling (except something like EvE). That doesn't seem like there is a huge audience for it.

i don't see this as a hard thing to implement. only few things to do. and there is audience for this.

Cyrodill itself is an Open world PvP game inside of the game as a whole soo...

Not to mention I'm talking about instanced and selective PvP, something this game is lacking.

Why would anyone choose your new "class"? If I could only attack those who are selected the PvP class, what benefit is there? I get to attack all of 5 more people? How do I distinguish between these classes anyways? Also, what does open world PvP do that Cyrodiil cannot?

it is not a new class, it is no class at all, just an identifier for those who want to be left alone. names on it could vary from anything that fits your playstyle which doesn't include pvp.

well maybe just a [censored] checkbox you can check in the character creation then, if that made more sense to you? i just tried to make it lorewise.

edit: accidentally replied to myself.
