The mods in the data folder are easy enough uninstalled or moved eslewhere as they are all the ones that are not the standard skyrim.esm, update.esm and all the .bsm files.
The only problem I had so far, well two, is Scriptdragon and widescreen fixer don't support the update yet.
Skyrim, like the fallouts before it is pretty bombproof when it comes to modding and is difficult to actually break the game permanently. Never modded Oblivion but I would hazard a guess that it was as solid.
You saying that Script Dragon 1.4.15 doesn't work with the patch?
You know new SD supports skyrim/data/asi installation?
As I said earlier, I'm not worried about 'breaking' the game, I do a full backup every 3 days or so, everytime I have a 'major' mod-installing session, so I know I have a playable game on my E drive....
...it's SD that is my biggest concern because my own 'project' (Skyrim Total Voice Control) relies heavily on SD plug-ins of the 'extra keys' type.
I KNOW that AlexanderBlade will update SD as soon as he can, but he's only one dude, with a job and a life. It would be so wrong, so selfish, to patch 'blind' then whine at him for 2-3 days (like so many did with the 1.3.10 patch) until it's fixed.
I've got a playable game right now - OK, I have to dig into the SkyrimWiki every now and then to find the console codes to - for example - complete the Bards College quests and get rid of 10lbs (kilos?) of useless Drum, Lute and Flute, but I can play with confidence, I've had about 3 CTDs since 11/11/11 and I know why those happened.
I'm happy to hear what people have to say about the 'effects' of the patch until I'm sure it won't mess with my own valuable gaming-time.
