At first anger was my response, then I was just sad about the delay, now I'm just disappointed. Disappointed that Peter Hines and the decision makers could have easily avoided most of the rage element expressed in these posts. There would still have been those screaming unfair, Xbox gets it first, but that's just the eliteism mentality of a lot of console owners, Sony and Xbox owners included.
The PR statements for this expansion were ambitious from the start, and even after the raging here they still remain so. The 30 day exclusive statement inferred that the other platforms would receive the expansion directly after the time period had expired, my decision to refrain from purchasing Dawnguard was based on the statement made by Gstaff on the 26th July after the 30 day expiration, I was expecting some kind of date to be announced, as I'm sure everyone else was, but no he just posted what Peter Hines had earlier stated.
In my opinion all they had to do was state at the beginning that the Xbox version was being released first and at a later, undetermined date the other platforms would receive it. Even if the case now is some technical issue which is postponing the release, wouldn't it just be simpler to admit it? Rather than the song and dance they are leading every one on.
I was looking forward to Dawnguard, but because of the way they've handled this situation I'm not going to bother, and it looks like I'll not be purchasing the next DLC either as it will more than likely be handled in the same incompetent way.
