hmm strange, Steam hasn't updated my game. I have automatic updates enabled. /shrug

Anyways, would be funny if Bethesda released Dawnguard for the PC/PS3 with an additional DLC for the $20 price, but the Xbox360 people have to pay for the additional DLC :drag:

I don't think many people have a problem with it not being exactly after 30 days. It's not that big of a deal.

It's just people don't appreciate having the rug pulled from under them. Especially from the (easily misinterpted) inference of a 30 day exclusive. That's why they are all emotional and angry. If they simply said: "maybe in a month or two", there would be less butthurt. It's just being straight, and most people are reasonable enough to understand. No one is asking you to push the deadline. It wouldn't hurt to show some decorum and respect, especially when you demand it out of posters/gamers here.

All they needed to do was simply announce it for the PS3/PC with "coming soon", instead of just announcing it for the Xbox360 version only and being silent about it.

Well yes, but I also note that one member who joined these forums has done so only to post in this series of threads, I will draw my conclusions from this.

I have been viewing Bethesda forums since Fallout 3 to keep up to date with announcements. I never made an account since I never really felt like I had anything to say, just wanted to read them. I sadly own Skyrim for PS3 so when everything started breaking down back in November I spend my time contacting customer support and seeing what could be done to fix it. I got a lot of no responses and when I did get responses it was usually a "we're working on it." Didn't really feel like I mattered to them.

I made an account last week for the sole purpose of contacting moderators on this forum because of the way I have seen this discussion being handled. I hoped that this forum was somewhere that our opinions would be taken seriously and discussed in a manner that would benefit both the consumers and Bethesda in the future. Instead, I remembered why I didn't join these forums to begin with. There is no two way communication to Bethesda and because of that, nothing has been accomplished with these threads. These forums have become nothing more than a space to complain and wait out the release date. Pretty disappointing. Here's hoping that they end up listening to us someday....

Sorry about that. I did a quick look in the bug report section where I assumed it would be posted but didn't find it.

Indeed why buy Skyrim for PS3?

It's limited lie the Xbox version and has the same release date of the pc ....

I can understand only if someone has just theps3 and not the pc ...

pity that there cant be put mods on ps3 as ps3 is more powerfull than the xbox if not wrong ...

If mods will be allowed for consoles.
I'll be the one who leads the massacre to Bethesda's company.

I originally bought Skyrim on the PS3 because my PC didn't have a very good graphics card and I love the BluRay coating on the PS3's discs. I don't abuse my regular discs, but it's always nice to have that extra level of comfort that it is not going to scratch easily.

Also, Skyrim is my first Elder Scrolls game and I had no idea mods existed.

What I find interesting is that despite the huge outrage, I heard that our beloved company plans to release the next DLC (whatever that may be) as an XBox timed exclusive too. Because screw everyone else. It's fine by me though as now I have this nice sum of money I was saving up for future Skyrim content. But that's not going to happen. Got fed up with the sweet little lies and will blow away the cash on the upcoming MMO.

It was a good ride, I admit that. Too bad that the FailBox completely took over and corrupted another good franchise.

It has been in their contract with Microsoft since day one. They can't back out now no matter how pissed off people are.

DLC timed exclusives were announced before Skyrim launched. It is only the first 2 DLCs that will be timed exclusives, the DLC after the first 2 will presumably be launched simultaneously.

Isn't the first 2 DLC's Xbox exclusive? Probably the only 2 DLCs that will be released, too...

Too bad that any gamer with an ounce of self-respect won't stick around for that. It's not just getting a complete, new content delayed by 30 days but getting it delayed for more, for an uncertain time period, being left in the dark with no information and no communication between the company and the customers. Despite all the hardcoe [censored]ting the company does, this is going to happen every.single.time. Period. No sense in trying to believe a single word coming out of their mouth by now. It's disappointing.

They do listen to you, they do read the forums and what is being said, it is just that if they have no news or for whatever reason unable to comment then there will be no posts. As soon as they come up with something concrete to share they will post, as Gstaff has today.

In fairness looking at many of the posts in this series of threads I don't blame them for staying silent, whatever was said would have been met with a tirade of rude posts. Even the brave bear hesitated to open these threads. :(

What I find funny is that they said this before the game was released, yet you ignore them.

Yeah, because the 30 day exclusive just broke everything, didn't it?

Exactly. I would prefer to have it as soon as possible, because I want to get in some time before school starts, but if they can't make it happen they just can't. I was expecting some kind of assurance from Bethesda the day the exclusivity period was over, and it never came. "We haven't announced it for other platforms" is not a good response. Something more along the lines of "We are working on the DLC for the PS3 and PC. We are unsure when it will be completed, but we will let everyone know as soon as we do have information." I did not like having to look at a http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/211720 to know that they are making progress.

We have our own forum. Plus when someone is logged in as anonymous and reading forums the mods can see them although members can't.

With that it is post limit time.
