My playthrough of Skyrim & complaints: day 1

After all, this is the community that feels the Kills Cams are some sort of violation of the Constitution.

Well of course they do.

I agree with your thread to some degree.

If Mounted Combat was in Oblivion and it was better. Yes they should have done a better job.
But...

If Mounted Combat was not in Oblivion. We should be lucky we have it. That doesn't mean i'm not saying it's not good either. Horse Combat archery I Don't like IMO Because you have to shoot higher or lower then you normally would. And you should be able to cast magic as well.

Just no. This is the first time we have dynamic shadows but if you put shadows to ultra they glitch out and lag like hell.

Poorly implemented features are still poorly implemented features regardless are they new or not.

@DeanG (see I didn't misspell your name this time) Like I said it's a steam thing. Feel free to ignore the first sentence.

The 20 point list posted 2 minutes after the original post is impressive in terms of typing speed.

No, we just would like a toggle for this buggy, unwanted and immersion breaking feature.

Kill cams and other similair stuff should have simply been toggleable. Developers today seem to afraid of using toggles while it is actually a great system.

I'm sure there are people who keep this stuff on Notepad. Just in case they need to remind people why Skyrim is crap, even if you feel otherwise.

Because it "steals your freedom" by enforcing a slow mow kill cam. I honestly hope you and your kind realize how irrational and overly angsty you sound in those threads. It's any wonder no one will take you seriously.

I couldn't care less if the thread had 5 thousand replies and 2 million views. When the price of something is reduced, for a temporary period, it is a sale. Whether it be 5%, 40% or 75%.

That you and others have taken to whining about New Vegas not being up for grabs for 75% doesn't really paint a grand picture of the wider gaming community. There's far too many whiny, entitled individuals and a severe dosage of 'airlock' treatment is required.

Agreed. I have a hard figuring what kind of an advlt would whine over something on sale for 40% instead of 75%.

Good thread brah..

1) Cant disable kill cams

2) No respec before leaving helgen keep (forced to watch execution anytime I make new toon)

3) Constant forced 3rd person (horse, werewolf, killcams, using workstations)

4) Poor horseriding, worse than Oblivions. Slow, glitchy sprint sound, awful sprint distance.

5) Bad journal system. No details to information, too reliant on quest markers.

6) Terrible world map, more like a satelite image than a crumpled up map in my back pocket.

7) Unnessesary camera shift when drawing a weapon in 3rd person. Please leave the cam where it is.

8) Immortal NPC's. Much worse than it was in Oblivion.

9) Awful delay when switching between bow/sword in hotkey. Aswell as glitchy draw sound/animation being played twice. A year later without patching this? seriously.

10) Linear dungeons. 90% of dungeons are just straight corridors with no sense of exploration or intimidation. A 2 hour long corridor does not a deep dungeon dive make.

11) Skooma... it could have been a really unique narcotic, but the best they could come up with was a weak stamina potion.

12) No mortar pestle, at the very least let us make basic potions out in the wild. I never carried a glass alymbic for RP reasons, but always had my trusty mortar and pestle.

13) No weapon degredation. Gear maintenence was a whole other dimension one had to consider when going on an adventure.. no reason to take it out.

14) Arrows dissapear after a certain distance. This did not happen in oblivion.

15) No hand to hand skill. And cant block when using the hand to hand you can do.

16) Not 1 single bookshop.

17) No handicaps in the game world. Ie I can walk into windhelm dressed as an imperial, or walk into whiterun as a khajiit. Dont be afraid to penalise players!

18) Blacksmiths cant upgrade gear for you. This is their job, they should be able to improve your gear for a small sum of gold.

19) Rain still passes through shelters. They managed to fix this in the Fallout new vegas expansion set in the canyons.

20) Nirnroots are too loud... in oblivion they were a gentle hum, now I pick them up just to make them sthu.

there is a bookshop in the college of winterhold the orc sells them

No, because it kills me dead when it bugs out because it takes control away from me.
Its immersion breaking because it takes control away from me.
Its annoying that more often than not they leave me in third person while when they started I was in first.
Its annoying that they bug out and a arrow that had a clear line of flight gets blocked by scenery, or otherwise misses the target alltogether. Same for magic. Melee? Enemy kill cams are bugged and treat you as if youre unarmoured. Nice.

I honestly hope you and your kind realise how annoying it is to have a legitimate complaint being swept under the rug by a self-appointed Bethesda defense force.
Guess what? They dont need you. Go home and put the pitchfork back in the shed, Bethesda is a big boy and can handle itself.
They also want us to tell them these things, because they would like to make a better game.

And you know what would improve the game immensely for me and thousands of other people?
A toggle, so we dont have to endure kill cams we dont like and do not want.

Yes yes, toggle this, toggle that. Toggle kill cams, toggle running, toggle weapons, toggle combat, toggle eye blinking, toggle HUD, toggle the start button...etc etc etc etc...It's almost like my grandpa used to say, "Everything in life can be fixed if you weld a toggle switch to it."
Didn't fix the lawnmower, not doing much now.

No.
That is called the fallacy of the slippery slope, I believe and the premise of it is that youre putting words in my mouth.
Not 'toggle this, toggle that.' That is nonsense and its your words and not mine.
Just a toggle for these killcams would do nicely.
Now, either use proper debating techniques or quit replying to my posts but I do not intend to suffer this kind of malarky.

A toggle for killcams is such a basic and easy to implement feature that its unfathomable we should ask for them in the first place, but there you go.
I have every right to petition for a small feature that would tremendously enhance my enjoyment of the game and I absolutely will not suffer the quoted kind of malarky intended to ridicule and dismiss.
Argue a topic on merit or not at all, but really, do not put words in my mouth and do not be disingenious like this.

And since when did you start thinking you could tell me what to do? You post your point, I post mine. That's how discussion works. You don't like it, you shut up, I'll shut up.

We also need a toggle so that people wanting a toggle for killcams only post in threads where the subject is specifically, and only, about killcams needing a toogle. :bunny:

The reason I posted was his unfounded, baseless and illogical attack on people wanting a killcam.
It annoys me to no end when the Bethesda defense force uses crooked logic and irrational debating in order to paint a simple request for a simple toggle into something 'bad'.

It's not the request, it's the approach. Maybe if you stopped acting like someone violated you from behind and Bethesda was preventing them from being arrested...

You are the one who made the first post on the topic.
I simply do not suffer this kind of malarky so I responded.
Or what, did you think you had a pass to post badmouthing nonsense uncontested?

It annoys me to no end when the Bethesda strike force throws out a whole slew of buzzwords in a crass attempt to denouce someone with an opposing view point.
