My playthrough of Skyrim & complaints: day 1

Post » Mon Jan 07, 2013 10:20 am

And since when did you start thinking you could tell me what to do? You post your point, I post mine. That's how discussion works. You don't like it, you shut up, I'll shut up.

Post arguments, not these 'points' and shameless insults.

There is really no reason Not to have a toggle for killcams. In fact there are only two toggles in the game I can think of at the moment: The difficulty slider and the quest marker toggle. That is hardly the kind of 'Toggle-apocalypse' you speak of.

He requested it like this by the way: "No, we just would like a toggle for this buggy, unwanted and immersion breaking feature."

Yes, it is buggy. It is clearly unwanted by lots of people, yet he opts for a toggle instead of it being removed and the same goes for immersion breaking.

Hardly, worthy of your overreactions, as if you are being violated in the ass to put it in your undiplomatic terms.

It's not the request, it's the approach. Maybe if you stopped acting like someone violated you from behind and Bethesda was preventing them from being arrested...

Or what, did you think you had a pass to post badmouthing nonsense uncontested?

Well, I may have knocked her up, but you raised the child. You didn't HAVE to respond, like some sort of honor was slandered. Honestly, I can almost feel your anger from here. Take a couple of deep breaths, go get a drink. It's just a game, Simon. They're never meant to be perfect constructs.

Please stop with the off topic. If you want to talk about kill cams make a new thread. If you want to list things you like/ don't like in skyrim make a new thread. This thread is about mounted combat and mounted combat only. Off topic just gets this thread locked and makes the off topic posters look bad and/or get a warning from the mods.

Ty for reading.

Yeah, I rather just walk than use a horse. In Oblvion I quite often bought a horse. Mostly beacause those horses was faster than running. ( I know they are a little faster, but you cant make the shortcuts you can with just running.)(Unless you want to climb a freaking mountain, wtf)

Mount and Blandes horse combat, and combat in general is godlike. Skyrims combat works very well, dual wield not being able to block are a bit lame though. But skyrims horse combat is terrible. I would not mind if they even took it away! Improve it is the main goal but I don't know if Beth can pull it off or not.

Staying on topic isn't really that hard. Make a new thread for other topics.

Oh, now I remember. It's you -again. What happened this time, did you cat sleep upside down?

Anyways, to give you some insight you propably don't have: Melee mounted combat has arcs. What I can't tell you -because I'm not exactly standing with a protractor on the screen when playing- is if it's angle is 45 degrees, 60 or some number inbetween.

The comment section under this video are highly disturbing.

Back on topic:
Horses. I love horses. I love the horses in Skyrim. The controls of the horses in Skyrim, not so much. I think the horses do look better though.

Seriously, making threads because Bethesda won't sell FONV for the price you want? Umm ....

That's one way of looking at the game, there is such a lot more to the game than horse-riding combat.

The vast amount of pleasure from all the exploration and what can be found in world, a fantastically built world of life, ecosystem and interactions. So much to explore and find, and so many ways to do things.... but I do also like the challenge of combat where I can out-play the game's AI, playing against the odds and succeeding.

TES games always build incredibly worlds which the player cannot fail to enjoy, it is one thing that Beth are truly expert at. Way to go Beth, outstanding!

A straight-forward 'turn around' would be nice, having to turn a huge and un-wieldy arc is a needless frustration.

The camera is pretty horrific too, way too far away (and apparently no way to change it! No .ini tweaks work! What the hell?).

What is needed is a simple backpedal animation that already exists in the game. and many of the problems with horse riding and combat would be solved

Considering how many features this game has, expecting them all to be a masterpiece of game design is ludicrous. Complaining about said feature that was given to you for free is even more so.

I know I don't. I don't buy into the BS that Oblivion's horses were better.

Do you realise how whiney and entitled the very reason you're putting this thread up for makes you sound??

"Gimme discounted game or else I'll stamp my feet and scream and shout!!!"

Man up and grow up.

Also, every game has issues. Every single game that I have played. Expecting absolute perfection is absolutely ludicrous. Every game will have it's issues and naturally fall short of expectations of perfection. Every time.

I think closing this thread is a good idea.

No problems here either. Doing fort battles while on horseback is fun.
