Please think carefully before investing in season pass.

A lot of assumptions being made. I bleed Elder Scrolls and I did not buy ESO. Why, because TES isn't TES unless it was made by the folks at BGS.

That said I love the prior Fallouts and I'm really enjoying FO4. Could it have been better? Of course, but for BGS' first foray into the voiced protagonist it's pretty damn good. So some people don't like it, eh can't please everyone. The best we can hope for is to post our opinions on these forums and hope Beth reads them.

Yeah, Hearthfire. Woo.

Don't expect any of the DLCs for Fallout 4 to be like the ones for Fallout: New Vegas. Bethesda seems to be pretending like that game never existed.

Do expect at least one DLC with additional craftable objects for your settlements, and nothing else.

I can't believe they sell it with nothing and idiots buy it but you buy nothing all the time and get nothing for it. health insurance, rent, tuition etc.

Already bought it. Not regretting it or the many hours already spent in game.

Hearthfire was an early foray into allowing players to make their own things. It was enjoyable for what it was and I liked it. Dawnguard and Dragonborn were both excellent DLCs with a lot of content and we're a lot of fun. If I had nothing to go on other than the Skyrim DLC, that would be enough.

And for people whining about horse armor, I don't think that should be allowed to count. The horse armor DLC was their first one ever. They were still testing the water and experimenting with the format. While their first attempt was a flop, they eventually got the hang of it.

The Horse Armor DLC was them seeing what they could get away with.

Todd Howard claims everyone working at Bethesda is a gamer. Well, pretty much every gamer out there could have told you that a Horse Armor DLC was a bad idea.. so why did they do it anyway? Hell, there were plenty of other developers and publishers pushing DLC before then for them to learn lessons from.

You only need to experiment when you're doing something no one else has done before, or you're looking for a different result.

That is perhaps the most cynical, negative way you could look at it, especially when there is no evidence to support it.

The evidence is that Bethesda doesn't often listen to the community. Do you remember the whole paid modding fiasco?

If Bethesda had actually been invested in the modding community and spent time listening to what people had to say, that never would have gone down the way it did. They assumed they knew best, what the modding community needed.. but didn't care for what the modding community wanted until people were getting death threats.

With all this anger toward Bethesda and this perceived notion that they're out to screw you (again without any real evidence, only supposition), why do you still give them your money at all? After all, according to you, they're just out to screw you.

One less customer isn't going to push Bethesda to change and I can fix their games with mods that are available for free.

I'm voicing my opinion because I can. "Bethesda is a terrible company" as a statement is just as legitimate as "Bethesda is an amazing company", but I don't see you questioning anyone stating the latter.

I would personally be fine with a DLC chock full of craftable objects for settlements, though I'm pretty certain that if Bethesda put craftable objects in a DLC, it would be alongside a bunch of other things. Still, the more craftable items the better! I also happen to really like Hearthfire and use it a lot in every Skyrim game I play.

Heathfire was probably underwhelming for PC players with access to umpteen mods but as a console player I thought it was great and worth what I paid for it.

I bought it. I actually liked it. Sort of.

I bought Fallout 4 from GMG when it was on sale for $47. That same day I also bought the Season Pass. Then a few weeks later I bought a Pip-Boy Edition. I've always enjoyed Bethesda's games and get hundreds of hours of enjoyment out of them so buying the Season Pass was a no brainer. Admittedly though, it was the first Season Pass I've ever bought because I think they are stupid.

OMG stop with the Horse Armor already! LOL Horses where brand new in Oblivion and of course you wanted to armor your new mode of transportation! There are a lot of dangers in Cyrodiil! Plus, it was like what? $1.99? I was happy they gave me some choices and ways to armor my proud steed!! :)

I think so far, I have bought every single DLC Beth ever produced, even on PC, even when having the choice of installing mods. At least with the official DLCs, I have the peace of mind, knowing that they will actually work with my game and don't break anything. Plus, they usually expand on the story line, which is why I get them in the first place. Morrowind and Oblivion DLCs were great! Fallout 3... well, ok I guess (MZ let's not talk about that one... lol), NV brilliant and here's hoping that Fallout 4 will provide us with some amazing DLCs! :) (pretty please?)

2006(7)? Really? Not many DLCs (espescially for consoles) around that time. Yes Horse Armor was a bad idea but it's clear that Bethesda has learned from it and all DLCs after that had a lot of value.

Still a Season Pass should be only bought before the release of any DLCs if you are absolutely sure that you don't care what you get in the end. Best is to wait after at least two DLCs are out.

I have to admit I already bought it. But that's my personal thing and no I won't complain if they turn out bad, it's my own fault not being patient.

As many have said Hearthfire was a blessing for console players to get something close to modded houses, it also actually helped mods as well because the crafting mechanics and the house building mechanics were really good, I've seen a lot of really cool mods use the stuff implemented into hearthfire to do some cool stuff. Take Tel Nalta for instance, uses all three dlc to make an amazing self-build Telvanni tower.

Why do I even bother using the forums for any game I like? All the forums seem to do is generate people who hate the company and spite everything they do, whether its good or bad. Its like the forums are used by companies to magnet all the hate of their product into one place so they can easily ignore the people who will hate everything that is done. I obviously on the wrong site to get feedback to their game since all i see mostly is hate on these forums just like on Bioware forums and any other forums I have visited.

I just ask all the people who hate and spite everything Bethesda does on these forums, why do you bother to visit this site?

The season pass is a good thing and I strongly see it as dlc at discount price like when Skyrim DLC first hit the PS3 after Bethesda was done giving Skyrim DLC. But there was a strong reason for that too since everytime PS3 got their DLC the system would break the previous patch and things would run a murk again on the system. So instead of dealing with that process they instead waited until the end to give PS3 the dlc.

In a month or two it won't be so bad, this usually happens with any game though. People come to complain for awhile then leave in a month or two.

You obviously don't visit the Bioware forums of course the hate there is justified at this point because of ME3 lol.

When people speak bad on EA, its pretty close to truth because Bioware has fallen low since EA brought them but Bioware has released DAI, which was a good game since DA2 and ME3 ending disasters.

But back to the season pass, I do feel its strongly a discount on the dlcs because of Skyrim dlcs going on PS3 for the first time. I also heard but havent done my research too high on it, that Bethesda is getting fan feedback for the DLCs they make in Fallout 4. If that info is true I would like them to release a DLC that expands on the aftermath of the endings since there is really only two in a sense of speaking since the others involve the Institute being blowing to smithrens. Then since I loved Mothership Zeta would like to combat a legion of Aliens again, maybe they could actually have a base of operation on Earth this time that we travel to. Because I mean come on we humans blew ourselves up and now lack commuciation across the globe so Aliens could get away with populating the Earth to take it over from us.

To me, the only thing that makes Fallout 4 worth $60 is modding.
