Always carry a melee weapon, you don't want to waste bullets on a radroach

Never underestimate the power of speech. It may save your life or reach bigger rewards than with violence! <_<

Never attack anything or anyone that is not hostile. You save bullets and you save medicine.

Play cautiously.. there is no need to rush to Black Mountain at lvl 1. :tops:

mutants must bow to the one thing that isnt irradiated in this wasteland: the Bullet.

use different weapons for different situations, size up their effectiveness by checking your enemy, its armor, its weapon, speed, and position...

following a faction is a risk...you may not always agree with the ideals that get out into that wasteland.

Always have space for random loot you find out there. If you have 160 weight limit then use only half of it (80) and leave the rest for valuable loot you will sell later.

or even better, choose a loadout for the day...know where you are heading, and decide from there what you will need to survive.. youll have less to carry and more loot to bring back.

Be friendly and helpful in big groups...save being a murderous deviant for smaller groups.

It feels so rewarding to remove raider's head with that special bullet you crafted so perfectly on your own work bench.

Luring deathclaws to your enemies camp makes big smiles and easy pickings.

Never leave home without lockpicks, you never know when you might have to get in (or out) of something.

That survival skill should come in handy....but do NOT over look your medicine skill!!!!!! It increases the efectiveness of stimpaks and radaways greatly, this means youll have to purchase less of each. With around 50 medicine skill(maybe a little higher) it will take only 3 or 4 stimpaks to fully heal you, or maybe 5 if you have a high endurance. Also, minimize the amount of weapons and armor you carry, and dont overlook combat armor just because its not power armor, the defference in your speed will greatly help you! Not to mention combat armor is more common than power armor, and you should be able to get some good combat armor with good bonuses fairly early on through quests. Also, carry one weapon that is high powered and ammunition is fairly uncommon for, and carry an ammo waster, for taking out raiders, creatures of the wastes ect. And ALWAYS carry a melee weapon.(or unarmed if thats your preference) And also, dont be afraid to drink irradiated water.
