Also why is everyone jumping on him saying he needs to wait for a day 1 patch. There are still console owners out there without connection to PSN or Xbox live.........so what they would have to play an unplayable game they have payed good money for?

I just had my first 3 second freeze after 7 hours of playing (Xbox), no other bugs detected, apart from the texture bug and one or two minor animations bugs.

Pretty good for a game this size one day before release!

I feel for you OP, I'm just praying that my copy (which I will officially be getting at christmas, but have pre-ordered) isn't faulty. It would ruin christmas for me......

The DAY 1 PATCH is ALREADY AVAILABLE for the PS3/360/PC versions.

People need to stop using that as an excuse for the glitches.. As soon as you install the game, PSN/XBL pops up saying there is a new patch available.

The Steam version just patched my pre-load yesterday after I downloaded it too.

I can't play yet though - Steam won't unlock for me on the East Coast USA until Midnight (I hope)

Face it - there are MORE bugs/glitches that need to be patched that were not patched with the Day 1 Patch.

I don't think anyone assumes there won't be bugs in a game this size.

What makes no sense is that no one who has a legitimate copy of the game has complained of bugs to the degree the OP seems to be experiencing them. That includes the reviewers, who have been playing without the patch, too.

I'm just saying that people who are using the excuse that he doesn't have this magical "DAY 1 PATCH" installed are delusional and need to stop making excuses.

if bethesda had asked any of you to bug test i`ll bet none woulld have said no...

so just think of yourselves as an elite bug testing squad...as a waiter i can only thank you for doing this underpaid and under appreciated role
