Doesn't anyone realize that Kelco is just Trolling. I liked how this thread started out and each day I come back to the forums and check NVIDIA for a driver update. I have tried every possible setting possible on my card (NVIDIA Quaddro FX 1800 Mobile 1GB) to no avail. I want answers man not trollers. This game is nothing more than the Toyota brake debacle for games. I don't blame either the developers nor the video card manufacturers. I am angry at how we have no transparency in the matter. I'm half tempted to write my congressman and ask them to lobby for a gamer bill of rights. I am curious as to what equipment they used to test the game, to see if we can replicate the success.
Oh and just so I put this out there, and please allow me to vent a little, I don't play games on the PC because I like the PC. I play them so that A- I can Mod them, B- If the round is to hard I can use Dev Codes/Cheat Codes, C- a keyboard minimizes my hand getting cramped up a lot more than a controller. When I was younger I played for hours on end on my old Nintendo NES, this has pretty much screwed up my hands so bad my fingers don't always move to the degree I would like them to (for the young ones just look up the NES controller and you will understand why). I also like to us the No Clip codes as sometimes the devs leave jokes in places you cant get to unless you go outside the world, don't do that much now be they used to. Also, and this is for Fallout 3/New Vegas fans, there is something incredibly stress relieving about going up to your baddie with a Fat Man and pulling the trigger at point blank range, and seeing how far the body goes and then trek across the wasteland to see if you can find him/her/it. If consoles could address the Modding/Cheating issue and allow me to do so I probably would be on a console right now. As it is they don't.
PC gamers have a different philosophy to games than console games. We tinker with our games all the time, and do things to them that couldn't be done on the console systems. We sometimes just want to have fun as well as be challenged, but this varies widely in the PC gaming community some want to have more fun and some want to be challenged more. We realize that its just a game not reality. Console gamers tend to stress the challenge part of it and claim thats the fun part of it. They miss out on inside jokes and quirky things that a cheatcodes might bring up, like say replacing your rockets with chickens.
Sorry if I offended anyone, but I'm tired of this and the curse of Bethesda. I have been playing Bethesda games since Terminator Future Shock, and every game has had problems or bugs affiliated with them. Now it seems that any company affiliated with Bethesda is being affected by this curse as well. I just want my game to work.
One final thing I want to say, or ask. Next year I plan on getting a new video card for my Desktop. My desktop Mobo is a Asus AMD M4A79 with an AM3 proccessor in it, personally I want to get am NVIDIA card. This can be problematic with AMD Mobo's though. If ID or Bethesda reads this or anyone that is, can they or someone recommend a card or one thats coming for me to get, and most importantly can play this game!!!!!
