Did Bethesda learn anything from previous games?!

Take it with a grain of salt. There will ALWAYS be bugs in Bethesda games because it is extremely hard to iron out a game of this size with all of the content and variables (Fallout:NV was not developed by Bethesda BTW)

I've been trying to say this multiple times, but apparently Beth is staffed by demigods with no lives outside of the studio.

A phrase about cake, having and eating has been foremost in my mind every time I've read one of these threads.

...with no lives outside of the studio.

 If they were doing this on their own time for free that might apply. But it is infact their job, making a prodcut to sell, and that causes me to expect certain quality from it.

Though personally i've had less crashes with Skyrim than Oblivion, but i think Fallout 3 was more stable.

I agree about Fo3 now you mention it. But IMO it really is the scale of the games which causes this. I've sen enough Todd Howard interviews where he has megabags under his eyes to see that balls are being bust.

Maybe the publishers should concern themselves less with snappy release dates and more with giving their devs a bit more time when needed. I've never minded release dates being pushed back, though it seems to be a dying practise :(

I think Bethesda learned a lot in the past years...

Game Jam is a good example.

unable to fix missing textures, script errors, item and quest bugs (all the stuff, "that little" stuff that can be fixed in 1-2 days)
but able to come up with the gamejam stuff in 1 week (new moddels, textures, animations, coding and more..........yeah right in 7 days)

Bethesda know how to "handle" us very well.

So far I have put in a few hundred hours in to Skyrim and have to admit I have been very lucky in terms of bugs and crashes. In vanilla I had one crash (but this was after a 10 hour gaming session during a weekend and co sidering how many bodies were piled up i am surprised it didn't happen sooner) and the only real bug I got was from Vilkas in the Purity quest but a quick reload after reading the work-around on UESP fixed it right as rain.

Since installing Dawnguard the only problem I had was insane lag in Labyrinthian whenever I was in a part with a lot of fog and 2 crashes from trying to use vampiric grip on a teleporting enemy.

I have never had a game breaking or main quest vreaking glitch. I do know however that I am in an extremely lucky minority.

That being said, I have to admit that some stuff does annoy the piss outta me. Undroppable quest items long after said quests are done (thank god for the remove item command in the console) and ash piles not cleaning up which has been a problem since Fallout 3 and baffles me since there are like 10 different mods that fix this specific problem and you can't honestly tell me that Bethesda can't pick one and integrate it into a patch.
