Interesting. I hadn't heard about this game until just recently. Perhaps it'll be worth following. The teaser was pretty impressive as well.

I hope The Witcher doesn't go open world,it's a game focused on the story and characters.I can't help but feel if they took the open world approach the story and characters may take a back seat(Skyrim).

To be honest, Bethesda has never been that good at story and characters. CDPR is alot better at both, imo.

Character and story-focused games are difficult to do in open-world environments. The chains of cause/effect can get really complicated, cumbersome, and buggy when the setting can't be tightly-controlled.

I really dig this setting, the setting reminds me of Anachronox, although it's a bit darker.( I havent played too many cyberpunk/sci fi RPGs I have to admit )

It's scheduled for 2015, so it's almost certainly a next gen title, and we dont know anything about those consoles yet, so who knows what to expect.

That hardly excuses, in my opinion, often-poorly conceived characters with little or no personality or purpose. Its hit or miss with Bethesda on every game. But I don't play TES (or the recent Fallout games) for story and characters, anyway.

Hmm. Quite intriguing, and it's being made by the witcher team so I have a good feeling about this.
