Ok. i will soon be presenting to you all the latest trailer for Kamdoon*

all i have to do is wait for my FEB 10 2013 DEADLINE to pass for the first batch of voice acting auditions to close. then ill be tweaking a trailer that will have at least 1 voice actor narrating it.. :smile:
Yes i've recieved an audition! and it's good. However i'll wait til the deadline to confirm it incase i see other auditions etc. just letting you know.
still much to do, so back to it!

As in the above linked image, i notice for one, on the Skyrim Nexus that some people have for thier mod a, usually on their first Image slot, the words in the image ive linked here above. BUT, instead of reading "SKYRIM" it reads 'thier mod (name)' i want to make an image like that for kamdoon, just wondering what to do?

do i need photoshop or something thanks. :)

Yeah if you wanted to make your own titlecard you would need a 'photo manipulation program'. Photoshop would do it, but if you don't have it, GIMP is the best free alternative.

Tip- Image tags don't do anything on this forum.

You've done a wonderful job of making the mountain look uneven and natural. I suggest applying that to some of the flatter areas. (Unless you intend for them to be very flat) Otherwise lookin good!

Thanks AV. yeah i realise that pictures dont show up here, but the link's do, that's just been the way ive always put them up here.
Thats nice of you to say about my landscaping work.. im doing all of it completely in the creation kit too, yes using the lowering & raising of terrain by hand mostly. alot of smoothing it out and raising & lowering, it's something that im taking on with a passion, with the same effort that im putting into other areas of creation. oh, yeah there's some flat stuff i've shown too, well most of that will be more uneven & natural as i go, it's kind of the first pass over those places, and then i go in and slowly work on making it all look natural. there's no region generating here either, i'm doing it all by hand placing every rock, tree and piece of foliage etc with care and precision. :)

I can give that a go for you if you like, once you get the Skyrim font it should be easy. Just tell me exactly how you want it.

The Skyrim font appears to be a customized version of 'Trajan Pro' or the Trajan family of fonts, perhaps?

Fun fact, it's the same font that the Assassin's Creed titles are done in. :D

Hey man basicly my pc has died on me so I don't have access to anything apart from a laptop atm. If you can get someone else to make it that's cool. If not I'll do it when my pc is fixed, not sure how long yet though.

anyway, i've been toiling away at my mod this past week. I've learnt afew new tricks as well which has helped me to add some more spice to traps and encounters / ambushes, things happening when you go through Default Self Activate triggers etc etc.

I've added numerous word walls into the world too, also i've placed the "return to skyrim" statue at a more resonable position. One word wall in particular the Etheral shout. i've added all 3 walls around the world as in my new barrow, there's a place where you need to use that shout to explore a lower area. been also setting up more location & encounter zones, as well as Radiant Story, boss markers etc.

and lastly, i've added a "mine / dungeon" that acts as a shortcut from morfolk through the mountain and out the other side. Otherwise at the moment it would take a very long time for people to reach the morfolk side of the map. :)

Oh, and new LOD, i'm adding afew new interior spaces, then i'll be ready for putting the 3rd demo out on the nexus! :bunny:

Looking pretty good so far! Glad you're still chipping away at this massive undertaking!

Just a quick tip, you can report your own thread to request that the thread's title be changed to something like "[WIPz] Kamdoon" so it looks a bit more official and whatnot.

Reached a grand point now on the nexus. my demos are now at 1003 downloads!
Also soon, my first batch of auditions will be done on the 10th/15th feb. then the good ones will be added into the game.
I've got a laundry list of guard voices, a dragon voice, and a special "narrator" voice right now. of course i will have to wait for the deadline before i set the roles in stone, but also i'm waiting on afew female guard roles as well.

I had afew days off, to relax and reflect on what i've done so far.
Got to say i've put more into this so far than any mod i've ever worked on in the past. Over 7 months have gone into this already, and it's a massive world now. Still there's plenty of landscaping to do.
and a ton of quests, and other odds n' ends to accomplish.

In my days off i played and finished Dishonored on the ps3, pretty cool game. though i got the worst ending possible, got my next two tattoos planned for march on my birthday on the 12th.
also setting up study this year for a certificate 3 in retail. Today / tonight i'll be getting back to making more of kamdoon. if anyone is interested in voice acting the auditions are still open as of now.

So I'm curious about the timeline you have.

In canon lore, the 3rd era ended in 3E 433 with Martin Septim's death, beginning, of course, the 4th era. Then we have a 200 year gap that's filled in with books and hear-say in Skyrim. Dragons haven't been seen in thousands of years, until Alduin returns on 17th of Last Seed 4E 201.

That's fine. But there's more to the story that i'm currently ironing out. Also this mod is surrounded in a kind of time paradox'. :foodndrink:

thanks curman, yeah the possible ctd may be from using 2k textures whilst playing this at the moment, i haven't yet optimized the exterior worldspace.
so for me when i go from the new stuff to the older side of the map it usually ctd's. once i optimize it i should be able to play all over the map without the possible ctd's.

and soon, very soon.. well on the 15th febuary i'll be revealing an all new trailer filled with voice acting talent that i've recieved, and epic new gameplay etc.. even the reveal of an "ancient" dragon thanks to the voice actors that have given auditions... cant wait.

**On this same year an unexplained warp appeared during the skirmishes, out of this warp, a rift in time, out came a lone figure.. cloaked & wreathed in flame this ungodly demon cursed the land of Kamdoon, creating a time paradox that would change the shape of history forever... after this event, the seasons would be forever different, random, unplanned.. Time itself changed, and the era's timelined became stretched & distorted.. if there was a fix to this curse no one alive yet knew how to undo it's malice...**

Ironing out some more dialogue for voice actors, having some cookies & cream ice cream @ 2:41AM can't sleep & sending tweets on Twitter. Starting study further next week. one day a week so i'll have plenty of time for kamdoon still. like just my usual 17+ hour days on kamdoon. just tweeted Bethesda, got a reply too +1 :banana:
