Right now just typing up Dialogue for a bunch of guards to be Voice Acted asap. nothing concrete yet but hopeful to get people cast into those roles by mid to late January.
the Notepad# txt i've writen so far is 23.6KB'S.. and for 11+ roles with 429 Words so far to be precise.
And there's more than just writing what is actually said too trust me.. im adding side notes, and Performance ideas etc to give the VA's a rough idea of how to make the best use of certain lines etc. it's proving very interesting indeed. which is a feat in itself since i havent slept last night after cluttering etc, now it's 2:07PM the next day.

i'll have a good rest soon and get back to it when i wake up and have another coffee or 3. :foodndrink:

it's actually much more fun than i thought it would be writing my own dialogue, especially satisfying will be hearing VA's doing justice to the words and in-game afterwards.

My latest information on kamdoon ive sent over to my new website @ DARK CREATIONS here&--#62; http://www.darkcreations.org/forums/topic/3383-kamdoon-a-skyrim-new-lands-mod/

and i'll paste it here too, as it holds some nice new information on the landscape!

To catalog where i'm at thus far i'm going to label the various details.

1901 Named Exterior Cells to date!
+ numerous exterior wilderness cells that have forested areas and just natural landscape to them. and there's still a ton of exterior cell space to fill yet!

13 Interior spaces to date.

Quests completed : 0 / 70
Quests planned : 5 / 70

Major Quests: 30 to create.
Side Quests: 35 to create.
Misc Quests: 5 to create.

Lines of Dialogue: 429 so far, and 11+ roles for those 429*. Much, much more to come!

Interiors ##
1x candlehearth Inn.
1x Farmhouse.
1x farmInn.
2x caves
1x nordic ruins.
1x Secret vampire hall { cave }.
1x bannered mare style Inn
1x Player home { Breezehome type }
1x Blacksmith {Whiterun style}.
1x Jorvaskr House.
1x Windhelm Palace type castle.
1x Skyhaven temple style Temple.

Main City's:

Morfolk Capitol#

- An open rocky tundra plains region with vast spanning roadworks branching off to various directions.
home to the Jarl* of Morfolk. The open wilds here are home to a vast variety of wildlife, it is especially
teeming with mammoth's and their Giant herders.

Ustenthiem Proper#
A strong fortification from the harsh environments and the harsher beasts that roam it's borders.
here houses the central hub of trade to all the other walled city's of Kamdoon.
it's also the home of the "Sahqon Spaan" or { Crimson Shield's } - In the common tongue.
a band of brave adventurers from all over Tamriel who've settled here.

it is completely walled off by snow in all directions, And beyond Ustenthiem' lies the towering behemoth of
a mountain where the high king of Kamdoon resides, tucked away in the comfortable castle walls protected by his finest guard.
It's also the main source of mead distribution to the various city states, and houses some of the finest Inn's in all of kamdoon,
said to be filled with colourful characters and the finest of song.

It's "Market Square" is home to the fishing village quarter. with craftsmen and women from kamdoon, skyrim, hammerfell, even blackmarsh & Elsweyr.
the housing here is strongly influenced by Morrowwind, with it's Igloo style homes, and lively trade taking place around the clock. It's also nefarious for it's
black market trade in Skooma' from the local Khajit & Argonian races.

Daggerfall Castle#
A place of great significance, yet in troubled times. most of it now is being rebuilt from dragon attacks, and warring skirmishes spilling over into it's borders.
daggerfall is a shell of it's former glory, with much repairs going on hold as the wraith dragon king Mogul Faar is determined to bring it to the ground,
resistence is strong, and hope yet lies on the horizon for this troubled state.

"{ VARIOUS }"

There are a bunch of other city's that are yet to be named etc.

{ CASTLES }

Wrothgarr Keep# (yet to be detemined is it's interior look and people etc)

Castle Solskaar#

A daunting palace not too far from Ustenthiem's White Mountain.
here is home to the Vampire clans and those delving in Necromancy, Mages cast out from the guilds for practicing the dark arts.
It also houses the Dockworks* where the Pirates and thieves guilds co - exist with the vampires, to further there own agendas.

it's ioslation from society allows them to rule over the area with an iron fist, as any one foolish enough to wander there is said to
never be heard from again.

( more castles are planned to be dotted around the world)

{Villages }

(a few collective villages exist from place to place, one so far amongst these is worth mentioning above the rest)

Driftwood#

On the outskirts of the k'vessi Forest' lies Driftwood# a small village nestled into the frozen waterfalls. Here holds the rural farming community's, livestock & wheat
growth, a humble inn and is also home to the "Fighters Guild". Where men & women come to train and to take on the role of slaying any fell beasts that stray too close to
the town. Also to hunt down the thieves & bandits who have robbed and pillaged the nearby villages and towns.

There's so much more i could say but i'll leave it here for now.
why not go to my NEXUS page, to see all the latest images etc. & before i go i'll show you a comparision of two heightmap screenshots..
one that is months old (very early works) and one from recent. to show you the true power in not letting go of your ideals and sticking to your game..

Both images are on this Post.

Thanks for reading!

Cheers
Clint.

NOW ACCEPTING VOICE ACTORS FOR VARIOUS ROLES#

i have a script ready, and i've signed up to afew websites, but i'll take a chance here to.

I'm currently looking for 10+ female roles of the age 20's to 40's to fill the boots of my "Morfolk Capitol guard" & for position of "Jarl of Morfolk".. See the entire capitol there is run by women. Kamdoon has a very strong female presence.
and women are just as strong as the men here, if not more so.. if your interested just send me a PM. and i'll send you the script with the details.

Also, looking for a 40's to 60's Male voice to play a certain greybeard* who will be narrating the trailer i wish to release next. anyone up to the challenge of voicing out a Max Von Sydow* type performance?
again i've got the script for that too, so guys feel free to audition as well, thanks! Oh.

And the DEADLINE January 14th 2013.

below is afew of the Female role Lines # more in store.

"Why not stay awhile, we have plenty to keep a humble traveler at ease, with our Mead hall and the peaceful courtyard steps, or prehaps your more Royalty? then be sure to
reach to the top tier, and meet the Jarl of Morfolk' She's ok if you get to know her, help out and she might just let you buy an estate in the hold".

"When i was young i always wanted to live in Skyrim, but it's just too cold for my tastes.. these warm, open plains of Morfolk are just for me, i'm glad i moved up
here with my nann when i was of age".

"Watch out if your planning on venturing off the roads, there's much to kamdoon i've been told that's either home to the sabertooth's or even worse! just a warning".

"I used to be an Adventurer like you, then i got an arrow in the neck.. Really do you know what that's like? it's no fun i can tell ya that much"!

Hey everyone.

im not here for another update.
But to ask what people wish to see in the particular new interiors im making now.
Right now i'm making a fully fledged Barrow ruins interior, complete with a Boss at the end. think Bleak Falls* but even larger, with not just two main areas but at least 3.
with the most ancient looking barrow possible.

Is there anything that you guys feel bleak falls lacked? or could have been expanded apon?
anything you can think of that will enhance what this barrow will become i'll consider adding.

I'm not out of ideas or anything. just that if people wish for more Draugr, or less lights or whatever i'll look at taking that on board.

thanks.

Looking good man, not gonna lie when I first looked at your progress a while back I didn't think much of it, but as time's gone on you can definately tell your skills have greatly improved, some screens are looking sick.

My input for your new barrow? 1.) Make it harder than Beths bleak falls, was way too easy imo. 2.) Yeah make them darker, makes them much more atmospheric, but obv light in places of importance. 3.) IMO I wouldn't go for a longer type cave, rather quality over quantity personally, well thought out traps/puzzles, maybe multiple pathway routes you can take to confuse the player etc.

Gl man keep it up

Great stuff, indeed. I'm with GH on the dark ruin. I think the the darker the better. I don't get wht a thousand year old tomb still has burning torches.

I'd go as far to say that one could remove all light. Force the player to produce their own light. I use mods to black out the interiors and it is quite exciting to focus on glowing eyes and what have you.

Just some meaningless input....

Thankyou Grass Hopper.

i'll take that on board
yeah while there was a time when i thought people were not interested, the last month of work has really inspired me, that i now use images from my world as desktop wallpaper! that's gotta say something when ive got that and not a wallpaper off an official game etc..

i swear my world is beggining to blend in with great bethesda's level design styles. especially when you see a shot like this from my worldspace http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/26398-5-1356744765.jpg

while people want it all here and now! i'm far from done. but don't let that be a downer. im trying to make the best game i possibly can for you.
thanks.

yes i like the idea of dark barrows. its far more spooky that way. although people may not "see" all your hard work, the point is it's there, and a dark place without burning torches makes sence. i'll have some though that are nessessary but yeah great idea :)

What about a section that is a giant maze, pitted in total darkness. The epicness would be the size and complexity of the narrow corridors, with lots of dead ends, traps and oooh...http://www.uefap.com/images/maze.gif

.. yes.

that Maze image thou simple design looks fairly plain, imagine that with interior dungeon pieces all fleshed out.. i wont copy and paste style it, but i'll look at implementing that into a workable spot for sure. Almost makes me wish bethesda created minotaurs.. im very much into greek mythology.

Ha! I just grabbed that off the net...somewhere....

There were a series of these mazes in Two Worlds Two. They gained in complexity with a boss in the middle. Each one granted clues to the next and they were in total darkness. I can easily imaging the Nordic ruins or more so Dwemer ruins having these massive mazes...for sure.

EDIT : Looking back at that little example. From a top down view it does have an ...easy look, but actually put yourself in it, in the dark, and it grows to new heights.

EDIT : What about one that crosses over itself in places...http://www.astrolog.org/labyrnth/maze/weave.gif

or...http://www.allkidsnetwork.com/mazes/images/hard-maze-page.jpg

yes, these are good ideas too. i think ultimately, a good mix of all of them and my own style would create something very daunting for the player. i may even throw in a map somewhere inside so players who find it have an advantage. traps yes, some well placed traps in total darkness will add a sense of real danger, people will actually have a reason to go stock up on torches before finding this barrow!

Hey everyone.

I've finished the "temple" area of my barrow now moving onto the "sanctum" area, this is where i plan to make it much darker. and prehaps add some kind of ancient maze to confuse the player.

Weird, I've never heard of CKM files. Creation Kit... Management? Haha, I have no clue... I'd figure out what it's for, though.

And yeah, worldspaces get big quickly. I'm not surprised that your world, which you plan on jamming with (What was it?) like 60 quests/dungeons is that big already. :)

I'm not sure what the CKM file is either, but it seems to be generated when you upload your mod to the Steam Workshop.

Ah, then it's most likely a Steam-specific archive that's actually uploaded. I.e. Steam packs up your BSA, ESP, and any other relevant files into it's special "CKM" file which it then uploads to the server.

Yeah, i figured it must be something either steam or nexus related.
just been surviving this weeks 40+ degree weather days.. i hate the heat. so does my laptop.
As for my new barrow, now fleshed out the first interior part.. with multiple enterances into it etc. now navmeshing through, which i take various approaches to, sometimes before or after clutter & effects etc..
after ' is always a pain yes, but i can manage.

So at the moment i'm laying out the design's of the santum area on paper, and finishing up navmesh for the temple area & adding in NPC's and Draugr etc. And yes kamdoon is turning into something more for the hardcoe of skyrim fans. who like a challenge.. 99% of this barrow's draugr are set to Very Hard difficulty.

there's still gonna be lights on here, but yes some dark places will be prevelent here as well.
i really like a nicely lit area with cobwebs and fog with that musty brown colour. but also some terrifingly dark places for using torches are just as important here too.

Im not defining the experience too much, that i'll leave upto the player. each will see this mod out in their own way, but rest assured it's got something for everyone.
multiple pathways are put to use here too, for instance i've got a spot where the player will die for sure if they fall through this pit.. But if you use that invincibility shout you can survive the fall, and explore a totally
different area in the depths. Not to mention that certain areas if you choose to go into them, well you cant go backwards. So to combat this i've added special exits out into the world from where you may enter the barrow again and try a different approach etc.

anyways i better get back to it!

cheers.
