Completely illogical, terrible episode.

If they pulled this non-sense in breaking bad, it would drop their ratings 10 fold.

Do i really need to explain? You would at-least agree it was anti-climatic.

@Styles- I think you're missing the picture:

Spoiler
Carl is a kid, the life he knew is gone, and the world is death now. He feels you have to trust no one, or you'll die. He's not crazy, he's bitter and angry at so much.

I understand but he needs to deal with that or its going to end badly.

Also to those thinking it wasn't logical.

Spoiler
It was very logical, talking to the guys at work I predicted that most of the governor's guys would chicken out. They don't know how to fight and have no reason to fight. They might have talked big but once the bullets start flying they would piss their pants and they did.

Spoiler

God, I sound like such little girl, but I loved it. It made me feel for Andrea, you know. I was tearing up at her death, and I loved every moment of it. Also, the scene with Carl telling off his dad, was brilliantly down. It really shows what happens to kids that grow up in the apocalypse. I thought it was logical, because they made the prison their home, and to them, Woodbury was not a haven, only a hell.

To make a statement like yours? Yes, I'd be curious as to why, otherwise I'm prone to believe it's a 'it didnt have enough fighting', which Im tired of reading.

@Styles- Ehhh, that's what Rick is trying to do, make things right with him. As for the prison, I'd argue it's less secure. There's a gaping hole in one parameter, and zombies inside. Hardly safe. They need to truly rebuild and modify that place IMO.

I thought tonight's episode was great. I was both happy and sad at Andrea's depature. Carl as always is the man. Liked seeing Daryl bounce back again after Merle's death. Can't believe the Governor is still around though.

Hm. Rather anti-climatic. But they sorta did that last year too (the tense Shane ep. wasn't the finale). I liked the episode but it didn't excite me or anything.

Spoiler
If one is worrying about the Gov, for all we know when he goes to sleep his remaining two henchmen will kill him. I'm thinking the Gov. won't be any focus next season, it's more that they just left it open for him to come back later, ala Merle. So he might come back, or he might not. Would also agree that since most of his soldiers weren't fighting people, that they largely panicked and ran once they saw it wasn't going to be "boom all dead." Not surprising there.

I really thought Andrea wasn't going to die, but it makes sense. Also, I'm not crying - not like I liked her much. But it was well done scene/scenario. I was a bit annoyed at losing Milton tho...I was hoping he'd join our prison group as the resident nerd. He could have been useful at times. If you want to build a new town/civilization, you need more than tough people/fighters, you need thinkers, inventors, mechanical people too.

In terms of Carl
Spoiler
Obvious parallel to the Gov is obvious. Does make sense, for a kid raised in that environment, but meh. He's going back into angry-brat mode. Hopefully someone or Rick will be able to teach him not to be a new Gov. The implication that Rick might not see the "ghost" anymore, because he's found new purpose (help the folk/help Carl) was interesting.

Well I hope he works out some of that anger.

Spoiler
The governor isn't going to attack anytime soon, he has to rebuild his forces. If he can at all. The core group can handle Zombies. They can get that place secure. It will take time to fix that wall but they can, or at least seal off that part of the prison. More people = more security more hands. Alot of them are kids and old people, I can't see them causing any trouble.

This episode was so FREAKING anticlimactic, that's what I'm upset about, and what I was trying to say. It's just life again in the prison! Yippee! We're all [censored] fine! We're just going to hang out in the prison with old people!
That battle we've been building up to all season? Yeah, that's not happening.

It was an awful way to end the season. I hope Morrowind is right, because I'm done with this show if season 4 is all about building a community or some stupid [censored]. If I want a season of character drama I'll watch a show intended for character drama. That's why season 2 svcked so much.

The characters need to be dealing with a legitimate threat, like walkers or other people, or the whole point of the show is lost.

Um, the point is survival, not "Derp lets shoot zombies for an hour herp derp."

And building for the future is part of that.

The shows purpose is not to see how many people you can kill, but how people survive in an apocalypse.

Another question, since there's allot of old people in the prison now, what happens if one dies in their sleep, but they didn't know until it's too late?

As in, old person dies in their sleep, and reanimates before anyone realizes and bites people. I think it won't be brought up personally, because its just an aspect of the show that serves no purpose, like showing the character sleeping or something.

Well.. It was something.
Spoiler
I wasn't shocked by Andrea's death. It wasn't very heartfelt, and it didn't bring a tear to my eye. While I didn't like her character, it was still kind of sad to see her go.

Governor re-elected for Season 4. Dunno what he's gonna do now since he pretty much screwed himself over big time.

Tyrese finally joins the group after eight or so episodes. At least they found a way to easily inject him into the group.

Now HOW DA [censored] do they plan on caring and feeding everyone and their grandmother? No one thought that through.

Your freaking out over nothing. The Governor is still out there. The zombie virus hasn't been cured. The prison still isn't secure. A lot can happen.

I'm almost positive that they don't plan on doing a re-run of season 2 for season 4. You can't just end every season with huge cliffhangers and unanswered questions. It would get repetitive and predictable. They gave us a somber ending, and no fan-favorites had to die for it.

I liked it a lot. There wasn't action in the sense people were expecting but I wouldn't call it anti-climatic.

I saw the gov thing coming because
Spoiler
he didn't follow the 'unwritten' rule of killing people to where they don't come back (in the head). He totally snapped and deserved to loose.

Carl
Spoiler
needs to get his ass beat. He's turning into the gov. Has no respect for his dad, and is gonna snap if he doesn't get put in check

Andrea
Spoiler
I'm glad she's dead

I liked the Episode, i mean i didn't love it but i liked it alot. 2 things really annoyed me though. I wanted Milton to be in Ricks group soooo [censored] badly, they needed a nerd in there! But whatever.

Also... i mean... that part were the Governor Slaughters everyone. Amazing! i loved seeing him snap like that, it was something out of liveleaks. The only thing that pissed me off, you see the Governor KILL all those people, you HAD AN AK POINTING TO HIS HEAD! YOU HAD THE JUMP ON HIM! HOW THE HELL DID YOU NOT TAKE THE SHOT? [censored] idiot... that part really annoyed the hell out of me, that idiot deserves to die.
Anyways now its time for Breaking Bad. The Journey of Walter White is about to come to a close... God what i would pay to see Walt in the Walking Dead.

In regards to what Carl did and all:

Spoiler
While I won't lie, he DEFINITELY has anger issues needing resolving, I think Rick is trying to work on that, but as for the kid with the gun, I'd say, begrudgingly, he made the right call. If you tell someone to hand over their weapon, if they intend to surrender, they usually put it on the ground. But the kid was slowly inching the barrel to Carl, and could easily have shot him. Given that people have killed for less, I can't say Carl was WRONG, but it was a bit hasty, but he couldn't risk being tricked and shot.

Edit @ Voodoo-
Spoiler
You say that, but quite frankly, if you thought the Governor was a great leader, albeit maybe a little odd, go from this hero to being a psychopathic butcher, I'm sure it'd shock you into fearful unsureness too.

By the time of andrea's death I didn't really care anymore. She's made the wrong choices consistently throughout the show, and then when milton's telling her to hurry up and escape, she keeps stopping and talking to him instead.

As for your last line. I would expect they're going to be grabbing the food stores of Woodbury and continue scavenging until they can reinforce and clear out the prison yard again so they can get crops going.
