If the characters moves are the same as it is in Street Fighter X Tekken I'll buy it as soon as I get more money.

Is Hunted: The Demon's Forge good enough for a purchase?

I've heard some very mixed opinions on this one...

Two Worlds 2?

Horrible. Fable is better. Never played it bc all my you tube reviewers that I watch said not to do it.

Is FarCry 3 any good?

Definitely a great sandbox shooter, much better than Far Cry 2. The lack of survival elements is a bit disappointing, but it's still a good FPS.

I say get it. It gets bashed because of the name. I honestly loved it.

I see Arcania and Gothic are on sale for all the games on Steam for $12.49. Does anybody recommend any of these games?

I started Two Worlds II but it felt very hollow so I stopped playing. I have the Royal Edition too. Should probably just get rid of it.

Anyone play any of the recent King's Bounty games, namely Armored Princess? It's been on my radar for a while and http://www.gog.com/pick_5 going on all week.

When was the last time this thread was used? :P

I cane here wondering how good the Borderlands franchise is. I like RPGs and open-world games, and to me, having excessive mature themes (such as drug abuse and serious sixual themes) in a game repulses me from it.

So how fun is it?

I played the first one for a short time and it was a pretty fun shooter/rpg. I stopped playing it because I got side tracked on another game and when I came back to Borderlands I just couldn't get back into it. Not the games fault though.

It would be a bit of a stretch to call Borderlands an RPG *or* open-world. You gain levels and upgrade skills, but they don't necessarily make a huge difference, and it's entirely possible for a character to max out all of their skill trees. It's split into several large areas, kind of like STALKER if you're familiar with it, which you can move around relatively freely once you gain access to move forward, but there's not much reason to return to regions you've finished. Mature themes are there, but they're not excessive, as the game doesn't take itself nearly seriously enough for that. The game entertained me enough to finish it, but I didn't feel motivated for replay; the characters aren't that different and there's no real gameplay variety. The shooting is solid though and if you like the core gameplay enough there's plenty of room for replay value. Haven't played the sequel to compare.
