With the payment model announced...

Is ESO dead? NO

Is ESO dead on consoles? YES

Console players are simply not willing to pay a subscription fee like this. For those on consoles still planning to get the game and pay the fee, they will be very lonely players since the player population will be very low. Plus with the new consoles launching just a few months before ESOcones out, not many new consoles will be out there, and therefore, not that many console players. Zenimax needs to rethink their strategy and either reverse their plan or be ready to go f2p/b2p.

False, people were willing to pay subscriptions to FFXI and they still do to this day. FFXI was one of the first MMOs on consoles and was also very successful and very popular.

So, bad argument is bad.

Hell, even Everquest and DCUO were popular P2P MMOs on consoles also. So, please do research before you say that console players aren't willing to pay a subscription for an MMO, when there have already been successful MMOs on consoles.

Well, I'm going to sound like a [censored], but who cares?

It's an MMO, not call of duty. I wish they had never included consoles for this. Anyway... why is it any different where you play the game if its the same price per month? Because you were already paying for Xbox live? The only players who really get screwed are the ones who are buying ESO for a console and who would be buying PS+ or xbox live solely for ESO... which I would argue is a silly choice in the first place.
