I also log in as anonymous. It seems a lot of old timers do. To better surprise you with. Muahahaha.

Did you guys hear that Star Wars 1313 might be on hold? http://kotaku.com/5987674/the-strange-status-of-star-wars-1313-a-hot-game-with-an-uncertain-future

Maybe the gaming gods are afraid of bounty hunter games?

Personally, the demo I saw was amazing tech-wise but in terms of gameplay seemed pretty derivative. Prey 2, on the other hand, is really ambitious in terms of unique features and breadth of choice offered to the player. Not many shooters offer up so many options and methods for taking down enemies.

I had not heard about 1313, I haven't been watching it too much as I prefer more open games to linear.

It's not my kind of game either. It drew a number of Prey 2 comparisons at E3 last year simply because of the bounty hunter connection and the alien world.

Funny that the article title says uncertain future, seems that bounty hunter games just can't catch a break.

It's not too long now. The text on the countdown is now in English. I wonder if Talon translated it for us?

Slightly off-topic again... this was something someone posted on facebook or twitter awhile back when Star Wars 1313 was announced

prey2013.medianewsonline . com

Official site to compare it against...

lucasarts . com/games/1313

Hmm, for some reason I can't post links here.

I have flip flopped so many times on this one I'm thinking I could run for President.

I'm back to believing this is a real count down for the game. Maybe it's just me but the game was to far along to not have been finished. It was built to run on the Xbox360 and PS3. The next generation consoles are coming at the end of this year. Now is the time to release it and watch it make bank, then Human Head can finish what they are doing and move to Prey 3 for the 720 and PS4 while Bethesda rolls in the dough. How is that for a slice of fried gold?

A great way to send the current gen consoles out with a bang. It is single player only so its not like there would be multiplayer longevity issues either.

klazarus, that's hilarious. I was pretty worried when 1313 was announced that it would take the spotlight away from Prey 2, but luckily after the initial wow factor faded it doesn't seem to have the same lasting appeal of Human Head's game.

Not long now! I'm excited to see what it is.

What if it's the day Human Head plans to let Bethesda buy them so the mess is over? :bonk:
Just kidding :D
(Of course if they did buy them already I would have missed it therefore not knowing)

I've been looking at Aliennoire too, the layout is so strange. Looks old, yet new and odd. If it's a hoax it is one very clever well thought out one. Though I do have that feeling that companies will be secretive once in a while to provide a big surprise.

I've been meaning to bring this up but always get into something else. Did anyone notice that the seconds minutes hours and days equal each other? In other words 705 minutes is 11 hrs. How does that work most count downs just run every 60 seconds and so on. I realize this means nothing at this point but still strange way to do a count down.

Is this one of the three hubs with daylight? If it is, it would almost confirm the site as being real, but it could be a screenshot from an entirely different game, I'm not sure.

There is one hub that is always dark, one that's dusk-like (The Bowery), and then, yes, one that is always daylight.

After seeing this photo, I feel this has to be a legitimate website...

Thanks for the link, I almost thought we weren't getting another photo...

Man, this game is really getting me excited now.

If this game releases this year and then I get to see the next Chronicles of Riddike film, my hunger for dark, sci-fi goodness will be satisfied.....

Yeah, Absu7d A7tisan is right.

There are supposed to be three hubs.

"He detailed three distinctly different city locations: one light and populated, a noir-esque underbelly, and a dusky, excessively rainy area."

What a very nice piece of art!
