I'm afraid it's all a hoax. Over at the Facepunch forums a user has found the video these "screenshots" were taken from (some preview from IGN), complete with time marks for comparison.

That still doesn't answer the question of why Zenimax would let them use their logos.

They would not stop a fan from linking to their website. Just because they designed the page to look official doesn't make it illegal.

1. He said the only ones who can discuss the game is Bethesda, so case closed if Bethesda has nothing to do with the site it's a hoax. Legally no developers could do it without Bethesda's green light.

Not if it is a fan site, just using them as a way to link info to the publisher and developer of the game. It's like sighting other peoples written work. You can use the logos you just can't say they are your creation.

I swear to god if this is some sort of remix album based off of the original game I game going to strangle them. Like the Majora's Mask countdown and then the album and asking to buy it, which wasn't official. -_-

Ok, so if it is a hoax why can't Bethesda let us know what is going on? They say it is not canceled, but they refuse to talk about where the game currently stands... an update on what is going on would be nice.

I agree and raise you another.... why couldn't someone from the staff post a statement on day one letting us know this was fake. Even telling joystick they have nothing to do with it doesn't do this forum any justice. They need to give us an update on here or pull this damn site. All the speculation is getting old.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of confused. Are people getting in a stink because how dare it not be an official site? I'm 99% sure it's not an official site now... yet I'm still interested in what's beyond the front door. What result would make it a hoax, trolling, or phishing? What would be acceptable?

I think we're ultimately wound up because Bethesda has been holding all the cards close to their chest for like what... a year now? I'm just glad people are finally talking about Prey again! I reeeeeeeeally want to play it!

Bethesda needs to realize that P2 can make them alot of money and that it has more potential to be a great game than many of the other games they have published in a long [snip] time.

Yes, 100x over. At least in my opinion, Prey2 is their most impressive looking game as of yet.
Not only that but it's the most impressive game I've seen period.

It's not that it has any 1 feature that I find revolutionary, it's simply the game as a whole, it mixes in all these ideas that work perfectly together. It's like the right designers had the right developers at the right time.

Edit: Oh, and being that the game will try to have an HUD barely there, I would love it if this game supported the Oculus Rift. As a patch, of course, it shouldn't be delayed even more. Not that I would mind, that would be great news to me personally.

Yeah, AS long as we know that the game will even have its release. I'm OK with waiting IF I know the game will come out.

Kudos to you, Vynzent for the Oculus Rift Idea. I have been following that hardware project pretty closely and I'm quite excited to see what developers do with it.

Anyone plan on attending QuakeCon in Dallas, Texas this year? It starts on August 1st; ends on the 4th.

Ah yes, the QuakeCon2013 dates revealed. I'd say it's okay to keep up hopes for Prey2 at least for now. QuakeCon might give us another glimpse as to what's going on.
