Prey 2 fake countdown site

It would be nice to see P2 surface before QuakeCon but I agree nonetheless. This will be my first QuakeCon attendance hopefully.

I love working with the idTech 4 engine. Its very user friendly and intelligently designed. Moreover, I hope to eventually mod the sh!t out of P2.

I agree Prey 2 would be the perfect game for the Oculus Rift, what a great idea! Can you imagine buying your first Oculus Rift with a shinny new copy of Prey 2 included in the box? I would probably crash my car on the way home due to an inability to take my eyes off the box.

Haha, yeah I don't think there are enough words to describe how I'd react to feeling like I'm inside the Prey2 world. Just the footage itself made my jaw drop.

I just came to realize that yes, maybe they are keeping silent so that at QuakeCon they can make a big impact. Since QuakeCon became a Bethesda thing just as much as an id thing, I can see that they'd start using it alot too.

Maybe my hopes are too high, but I suddenly expect Prey2 and Doom4 info/news at QuakeCon this year. Both games are very secretive (at least at the moment), and maybe they want this QuakeCon to be something great. I mostly wanted Doom4 for years, and I want it, but man I am dying to see Prey2, definitely my most anticipated game, I need the damn game! If it doesn't release I might have some temporary depression for a few days.

Honestly, P2 is Exactly the sort of game I have wanted to play for along time. It only makes it better knowing that the guys at HumanHead realized and developed a game with such a Dark, obscure mythos.

Every time I've beaten Prey, I've had this engrossing feeling of how scary it would feel to traverse the sphere and how paralyzing the Mother is when she talks. What creeped me out most was the concept that the Keepers created humanity as a crop for future harvest.

All in all, the over-arching story, the characters, and the gameplay are just soo unique when compared to all the other CRAP that is out there.

I remember how I first got my copy of Prey. I was on the hunt for my first PC titles; as I had wanted to start playing games on my PC. This was in 2007 or 2008. I had just bought a copy of Day of Defeat: Source at my local gamestop. As I began to leave the store, a kid walked in trying to sell back his copy of Prey to the store and the said no because of policy. I told the kid I'd give um 10 bucks for it.

Now, other than seeing either a preview or review on G4 (Xplay), I had never heard of Prey and it seemed like an interesting game.

After about a year of it sitting on my shelf, I had finally built a PC that could run Prey and other games. I sat and played the game from start to finish and it was life changing. For some reason, I don't know why, this game spoke to me in ways that other games have never.

Sure, I had my good times with Crash bandicoot, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, and the such, but something about Prey hit me. From there on, I wanted to play more Dark, sci-fi horror games.

Prey 2 will hopefully be released and be a game that will also change my life in ways its predecessor did...

Wow, couldn't agree more.

The Prey series is one of those special things in games. So many important people in the industry have been associated with the franchise from Valve level designer Matt Wood, Id co-founder Tom Hall, engine savant Corrinne Yu, Gearbox co-founder Brian Martel, Apogee and 3D Realms co-founder and shareware pioneer Scott Miller and, most importantly, the entire crew at Human Head Studios. How many games have their origins in the mid-90's and, as of 2013, aren't even two games in yet? From what we've seen both games have broken new ground, and Prey 2 looks to be the best open-world shooter ever. Exodus looks incredible, and what's even crazier is we've only seen a snippet of what's on offer. Very few games are as ambitious, but so easily understandable. As Chris Rhinehart said on the 2011 interview circuit, 'you play a badass bounty hunter in a sleazy alien world... sold, right?' Yep!

Quality pic. That screenshot does appear to be of better quality than those released ages ago.

That picture could not be from the gameplay demo, I don't recognize it. Or have I missed something?

After hearing all the [censored] from others about the site being a hoax, I had a feeling this mysterious uploader would give us a pic we had never seen before. Loe and behold, the next one we get is such. I even checked the www.curiousconstructs/prey2.com site and it wasn't there.

By the way, that site has all high res photos that people may have not seen.

Regardless, I'm of the mind, that something else is going on here...

Anyone able to find the most recent pic anywhere else online, other than from the aliennoire.com email?

Well I will say that the most recent pic is more inline with something I would have expected to see from the developers. This is clearly an image we have not seen yet also the quality is much higher then the previous images.

I never saw any aliens using a jet pack in the videos but the one on the far right is wearing one, lets hope this comes into play in the game. It would be fun to jump off a building using over boots and blast dirt bag aliens flying around with jet packs on.

I don't know if anyone has seen this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPkHZfjK5z4 but its the only version of the demo I have seen without anyone talking over it.

Hope that is the right web address I copied and pasted it so good luck.

Whoever made that new pic is clearly aware of the criticism being made. And has access to new material. Dun... dun.... dun.... with this new evidence prediction for it being official back up to 70% chance. Almost like some sort of PR company.... *wink wink* Now I get it, Bethesda has nothing to do with this because they might not be doing the website themselves. Yet it is still theirs, clever... very clever. At least I hope this turns out to be correct.

I, too had a strong feeling that they uploaded that pic specifically because of the criticism. This aliennoire site has began to intrigue me even further than before.

Not only am I curious with what it will present in terms of P2 but also with who the F(_)ck is responsible for the site to begin with.

I will also mention that I have seen "1 anonymous" user on these forums a few different times in the last few days.....I wonder who that could be peeking around....

That can be any member (or moderator) who is logged onto the forum as "anonymous". You can't see them but mods and admin can. :D No conspiracy theories there.

Can't wait for tomorrow, no matter what comes from the site... it has been great discussing the game here. Haven't had this much excitement for this game since the E3 trailer.

Yeah, I never log under anonymous. But thank you for the insight.

I've become quite wrapped up into this whole Prey 2 development conundrum. I, just like many others, would just like to know when or if this game will ever release.
