The 31st is far to quick for release, I hold onto hope for this countdown because Human Head and Bethesda have been silent about this site... if it were fake I feel like they would clear the air.

I have been thinking the same thing. Bethesda would be making a mistake by staying silent about this site if it has nothing to do with the game. They have a responsibility to the gaming public to notify us of misinformation about upcoming titles they own the rights to.

Has anyone visited the Aliennoire website lately? They have added a subscribe button to the bottom of the page. When you subscribe it says thank you with a picture of the Exodic Planet. They also added a line in the code after Tommy needs your help..... it reads "with a stranded human" I am officially excited about this count down site...

One more nugget I noticed if you look at the picture of the Alien being captured by Killian in the portal bounty hunter trap on the front page of this website. To the left of his head is a poster of sorts and the font in the text is identical to the font used to spell PREY in the count down website. May point to legitimacy or may point to a very smart fan.

My Dad said something that made me think. He is a board game enthusiast and when a game has been announced but for whatever reason hasn't been published for years past when it should have been released they do a thing called pledging. This is where people will say if they are interested or not and declare a maximum price they would be willing to pay for the game. This allows the ppl who make it to work out if people are still interested in the game and they can also work out if it'll be worth their time in finishing and publishing the game. My dad thinks alien noire might be a video game version of this pledging. Everyone knows a new video game is going to cost about ￡40 so all they need to know is how much buzz its causing. He thinks that March 1 they will reveal that the site isnt a hoax and Prey 2 will be made if so many people subscribe. I'm dubious cos that is unprecedented for a video game

That would be an interesting thing to do, the main problem being this game isn't on many people's radar because it has been silent for so long. I'm sure with advertising this game would get some really nice buzz going with the gaming community.

Now the countdown site clearly shows the Prey2 logo and also has the link to bethesda official blog and humanhead studios. Can somebody explain if this will be any help defying this site as a prank or anything official? Also people who subscribed probably have seen the screenshot from the subscription. Is this picture anything new?

oh GOD I just decided to check back up on this game today. Now I am anxiously anticipating for this count down to end. Wishing I would have waited a little while longer before I decided to "check up" on this baby. I still sit down and watch the old E3 vids for this baby from time to time.

It's very strange that Bethesda waited until today to make a statement. It's the first they've made in 5 months! I'm still very interested in seeing what this site is all about.

This game looked so amazing, such an incredible universe put into it, and I can't believe it went down a pit. It's still crawling out though, right? It's not cancelled.

Small odds it might be them trying to throw people off, seems weird though. But I find it more likely they are telling the truth.

It would appear that it's all but cancelled. Remember Bethesda never said they would release it, just that it wasn't cancelled and wouldn't ship in 2012. If they are remaking the entire game from scratch then it isn't the same game in any shape or form. All we have to do is look at Aliens: Colonial Marines to see what happens when you shift development teams, outsource work and postpone games. I want Human Head Studio's Prey 2!

Whatever the site is, we'll find out next week.

Joystick has a comment from Bethesda that the site is not there doing. Why then have we not got any comments from the STAFF on this BLOG?????? Also this ALien Noire site has been up all month, are you telling me Bethesda just found out about it !!!!!!! I will be fine if this site is a hoax, well I will be pissed actually, but I will not hate the creators of the site. I will however stop supporting anything Bethesda because they didn't squash this crap day one!!!!

I'm not scared because Bethesda says it is not their doing, in fact I wouldn't expect it to be. I think this site is by Human Head as it would make more sense for the studio making the game to be behind the site, so Bethesda saying it is not them leaves the option of it being Human Head or just some people messing around, which would be weird.

Also the fact that this forum is still here after so darn long is a good sign. My bet is that this site is real and that this game may be for next gen now with the PS4 announcement and with the next Xbox at E3.

Jedi72, I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of Bethesda's presence on this topic. The last time we had a response on the board was way back on the 13th September, 2012 in the updates thread. Gstaff said "Nothing new to share at this time. As soon as there's news we can update you on, we'll let you know." Unfortunately, that probably holds true today half a year later.

Lol, this reminds me of when David Jaffe was "hiding" Twisted Metal development. He straight up lied and said "We're not making a new Twisted Metal game." Later that year: "Surprise mofookas, new Twisted Metal for you fans!"

Sometimes a company/developer just tries to hide what's going on, as a good surprise rather than a bad one.

Considering it's using the official Prey2, Bethesda, and HumanHead logos, if this really didn't have anything to do with them then the website would have been hit with a takedown notice by now. Zenimax aren't exactly known for letting use of their trademarks slide.

I was thinking about that too, they would have taken down the site immediately.

I'm not saying it is or is not real.....just that if it is fake then I will be pissed that they allowed so much speculation for so long without correcting it. I agree that everything is pointing to it being legit. For every fan I hope it is real, we have been begging for this game for 2 year's.
