Wait, you mean you're going to be pissed at the people who made the website if it's not official? I'd be more pissed at Bethesda for not saying something earlier.
Actually no, I'm more upset at Bethesda's lackluster response about the website after hearing nothing about Prey 2 for months. If they secretly have something to do with it, then why lie and say they don't... just wait six more days before responding. If they don't have anything to do with it and they put effort to make a public statement about it... why they hell did they just mumble something about the website? Why not actually take the opportunity to tell everyone what's going on with Prey 2?
How hard is it to tell the public the game is still on hold, been canceled, actively being worked on with or without Human Head? If the game is floating dead in the water, then please... just sink it. Get rid of this forum, get rid of Facebook. They did make the effort to completely remove it from their main website. Why do that, but not get rid of this forum? That's bonkers!
The fact that they still have this forum up with the Human Head logo suggests they're still working on it with Human Head. If that's the case, say something to the fans that still support it. If that's not the case, then remove it. How difficult is it to be a market person at that company?
On a side note, I don't think having logos up suggest anything illegal if it's a fansite. The logos aren't saying this is a Bethesda website or even a Human Head website. It's only saying that they are related to the subject of the website. Can you picture all the fansites out there that would be sued because they have the logo to the people that make the thing they're excited about on their webpage if Bethesda made a move like that? Imagine a hardcoe fan of Batman and they want people to know the awesome companies that made Arkham Asylum were Warner Brothers and Rocksteady Games? Is it illegal to acknowledge that?
I'll be frustrated if this website has nothing officially to do with Prey 2 and direct that at Bethesda, not some fans who want to play the game.
I think I had too much caffiene this morning.
