My Problem with Werewolves.

My guess? DLC. Probably more than what was shown, with a questline or guild or something.

If we're talking DLC with heavy werewolf elements, different "breeds" of werewolves would be nice. And of course, different models for them.

Probably not. But who knows?

You scared me for a moment. I almost http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dgosi8Mp41Q&feature=relatedwhen I read "full moon" in your post. But it's possible. I think there are questlines. The members of the Circle are not werebears, so there must be a way to add them. Maybe wild werebears?

Could be. We have many Daedric cult worshipers running about in Skyrim. The only ones that worship Hircine would be the Glenmoril Witches and Skjor and Aela. Other than that, we know of no other. It would be interesting to be part of such cult, or a werewolf tribe who cannot control themselves on a full moon. I would totally erase my current werewolf characters just for that.

Supposedly, the reachmen incorporate daedra worship into their religion, and since the Glenmoril Witches are hagravens and hagravens are reachmen, it stands to reason that the other reachmen might worship Hircine to one degree or another. Of course, we don't really understand what the Hagravens are exactly.

I think the Reachmen have a certain affinity for Hagravens and not necessarily the other way around. The Glenmoril Witches, who are a coven who is know to have connections to Hircine, I think in this particular coven just happened to also be Hagravens. But thats just speculation.

I would think the Hagraven transformation has some connection to Hircine. It's obviously not Lycanthropy per se, but I don't see why it couldn't be a related condition, especially since the Glenmoril Witches are both hagravens and are devoted to that particular daedra. Further, while ravens are not particularly connected to Hircine (being neither predators nor prey, but a fairly intelligent social scavenger species) none of the other daedra seem to have a connection to beasts in any general sense.

Well Hagravens are kind of an F U to Kyne, so I would say they are connected to Hircine.

I interpret it as general hedge-magic stuff. Liches aren't daedric or divine in nature. Why should the Hagravens be?

Hagravens are a mix of (hu)man and beast. Hircine is the father of manbeasts.

"Manbeasts" refers specifically to werewolves, werebears, etc. Merely being a bestial-looking humanoid doesn't qualify.

If that were the case then Argonians and Khajiit would be manbeasts. Thanks for stating the obvious.

I agree. It seems to be a method of attaining more power such as it is with becoming a Lich. Because one branch of the Glenmoril coven located in Skyrim decided to go this rought doesn't mean Hagravens are associated with Hircine due to the man-animal dynamic. Any Coven member could also choose to become a Lich or Vampire. Khajiit, Argonians and the many other beast races are not associated with Hircine. There is a difference between the beast races and Man-Beast.

They should have never made werewolfs if they made them like that. If you have looked at other lores theres no say about this but if you guys want a super nerf to the already pathetic werewolf go for it.
yeah there was no other lore like this thats why it was good something called original though yes more painful to play still decent and more about rping than helpful

Being a werewolf is more fun useful than you think. Scent of Blood is where it gets useful. Swarm of bandits? No problem, just growl and chase 'em down.

A werewolf should have it's own skills though... or at least a perk tree.

It appears that no Werebeast updates will be in patch 1.5. I'm still hopeful for the future. What do you think we might expect to see? I am hoping for Werebeast quest. Any ideas or hopes in that regard?

If you mean the patch content, the patch notes for 1.5 have already been released.

I would rather they add in extra stuff for werewolves in a DLC rather than a patch. A DLC can add more detailed content that is more interesting and can have a cool quesline.

Hircine's freaking Hunting Grounds. It already has a cool geography to it. African-type savannah, a huge forest, canyons and bloody tributaries, a single moon that is silver and a red sun. Oh and did I mention big ass canyons!

It would be cool to run alongside a sparse canyon on the edge as the prey below tries to run from you. I can imagine having throwable spears as the NPC or creature flees, and you have to sprint to catch up. Canyons would be cool.

I guess, but only if you can jump from the top of them down into it, and possibly onto prey that would look awesome for a killcam.
