Not true, I've played plenty of games that aren't PS3 exclusives, and they don't lag. I think what you mean to say is sounds like every BETHESDA game on PS3.

I can honestly say that I've never played a console game 100% lag free.
Last one that I played being Dark Souls, that sometimes get close to unplayability.
Huge framedrops in some parts.

Both consoles are just outdated, be glad that you're still able to play current games in those.

It's a shame that pretty much all the games are being held back by 7 years old technology.
Just imagine a game like Skyrim, being developed to utilize all the power from current video cards.

The new generation can't come soon enough.

Alright so before this turns into a flame war and gets locked, let me say what I think about any lag. It will probably depend on what console you have/how many games you have on it/how big it is, if you have an older fat 60GB or so PS3 then you might have some lag because it won't be as powerful/etc, it will be weighed down by other games on its harddrive, just like a computer's harddrive. If you have a newer/skinny PS3 then it probably won't lag or you will have very little of it, because of what people have been saying that have the game on the newer consoles(Assuming), most say they don't lag and/or is exactly like the 360 version. A friend who somehow got Skyrim for PS3 early said it was exactly like the 360 version, how he knows *Shrug*. So that is probably what it will be, now do not cause console war!

 Main point of consoles I assume is to give the people who can't spend hundreds of dollars upgrading their computers every month to the next top tier to keep up with the new games coming out. Consoles are cheap and you only have to buy a new one once yours goes dead or a newer one comes out. Which is every few years.

Any newer not shiny PS3 is a newer one  I am sure you can look it up and find a guide on how big your PS3 is. But lets not get off topic.

I have the newer PS3... the one with 160GB. the PS3 Slim..

I was thinking exactly on this...

Maybe the PS3 playes that said the game have lots of bugs, have the older PS3.. and those who said it don't have almost no bugs.. just some shadow flickering etc, have the newer PS3..

I'm starting to get hype for this game again...

Yup, probably. Only thing that makes sense is that, because some say the PS3 is smooth and runs great and others say it is total :swear: So, like I said there is nothing to worry about if you got a newer PS3. But if you got an older PS3 then it seems you need to upgrade or deal with the lag...If the lag even exists.

the issues wirh rage seem to be because we cant run it from the hdd, you can do a full install on the 360 so ther should be no lag etc. but you cant really do a full install on ps3 all my games on ps3 the disc still runs an you can hear it an it often lags at the same time as the disc makes the noise. whereas when i have my 360 on it makes no noise when i play games that are installed it mererely used the disc on the odd occassion so it should perform smoother on the 360 when fully installed. im still debating which system to buy it on i notice with rage i made the mistake of getting ps3 an cos i canst install more of the game the texture lags as it cant load it quick enough from the disc everytime it lags an pops i can hear the disc frantically spinning an loading the data. i think il buy 360 version for skyrim defo especially as there is no online mp.

I get that, but enough is enough.
We're talking about seven years here, possibly a decade.

Somebody remembers tradition!
Hey! I remember the tradition, I just always misplace the link to the awesome Fishy Stick.

Too bad I was never given one on my first post. Partially because it was like a couple of paragraphs long, so a wall of text distracted people from my 'layman' status. :sadvaultboy:

That's just it. Not one PS3 has, that I know of, more graphical prowess than any other.
The only difference between old and newer PS3s is that they took off backward compatibility.
