PSN updates on wednesday's not tuesday, and maintenance on thursday.I have been really patient concerning dawnguard, i understand they are encountering problems with it for ps3, i just wish we had some sort of idea of when to expect it, when they said info coming 'soon' but made us wait a few days :(
yeah psn updates at 8.05am wednesday morning for playstation home and 8.05am on a thursday for playstation store the psn does not shut down you are still able to sign in.

wait I just thought of something what if this we are trying to get the ps3 dlc up to Par is just a coverup? we need patch 1.7 to play dawnguard right? so they can not release it now anyway so they are using the "we are fixing the game as a coverup" and as soon as patch 1.7 comes out they will launch it and it will be one of the buggiest games we have ever played

To be honest, I take all this "We're not satisfied yet" situation as a "PS3 version is even worse (crazy, right?) than PC and Xbox's ones,so we're gonna make sure it won't be as bad as it is now,but as bad as it is on PC/XboX."

And what's even funnier, is that they "planned to send 1.7 patch to Sony this week". I wouldnt be surprised if we find out it will be "rolled into patch 1.9."

Yeah let's keep dreaming, and let's imagine a land where Bethesda delivers almost flawless games and communicates with its fans regardless of which platform they are on.. A land where updates are sent to Sony in the promised weeks and Tweet Hines doesnt block people asking for infos and gives proper answers instead of huge disappointments.

By the way, they said they were planning to send to Sony the update this week, and if they did, Gstaff would've informed us(Right Gstaff? You love givin' us informations, don't you?),and we would have to wait for at least 2 weeks before getting it(due to Sony checkin if the patch is ok etc..)

But, I still hope that this mysterious 1.7 update will get released for us soon with Dawnguard. Seriously Bethesda,I preordered your game, paid it for full price(and I'm italian by the way, and here games cost 70 [censored] euros),enjoyed it until I reached almost 80 hours, and DANG. apocalyptic lag of tremendous suffering of death.

Then 1.4 came out,and my game now runs pretty good. And yeah, I'm foolish enough to buy Dawnguard. But, y'know, I'm kinda starting to loose interest in it,if it doesnt get released before september, then Dark Souls' DLC will replace you for good.

Watch guys, dawnguard will come out this week (latest thursday, earliest tuesday). Book it. They said it would come in the "coming weeks". It only makes sense if it comes out this week. Plus, bethesda already made dawnguard, they are just fixing the bugs.

I really enjoyed reading you're post man.

And what you say is completely true, there is really zero communication from bethesda, it's a shame that a game developer treats his costumers like crap.
All they say is "We don't like how it is running on the PS3" (like it runs 100% on xbox/pc?).

And about the patch [censored], we also never saw 1.6 they said it would be rolled into 1.7 that would be released this week, haven't heard anything so far.
And it's true if it does not release before september, they got some huge competition with the Dark Souls DLC, and i bet they would lose that battle.

It's a shame how Beth makes a great game/dlc [censored] up, i really loved skyrim so far, lots of hours, but the way this keeps going, i feel like i'm getting screwed time after time.

It's a shame Beth nothing less, Just a shame.

Indeed man. Their games would be amazing,if they worked as they were supposed to work, which isn't the case. I played Oblivion GOTY edition back on 2009(bought it for 20€ used). I loved that game. And well,Shivering Isles.. Now THAT is a DLC.

Then I got interested in this series and started searching Elders Scrolls 5 hoping to find some news. I've read a crapload of lore and fell in love with TES. When Skyrim was announced I was excited as hell.

And now.. well. what a huge disappointment. And I absolutely won't buy the game again for any other platform, like some people did. I'm a PS user since ps1 came out,and there's no way in hell i'll buy an xbox.and my PC cant handle Skyrim.

Truth is that Bethesda wants our money to satisfy its everlasting thirst of $$$,and Dawnguard will probably make its way to PS3,but the question is "When? And will it be playable?" I highly doubt it will come out this month. Regarding the DLC being playable I dont think it will be neither as buggy as vanilla skyrim without patches nor perfect.

And yeah, you're right. Shame on you Bugthesda.

Guys, stop hating Beth, the PS3 is notoriously hard to develop games on, i'm sure their doing their best.

Count yourselves lucky, Most Devs wouldn't even be bothered with the PS3 and make their games Xbox Exclusive, and TBH your looking like entitled brats right about now.

That is no excuse. Two words NAUGHTY DOG, best gaming company in my opinion, hell we got Uncharted out of them and next year The Last of Us, which has been called Revolutionary, and websites have said that its graphics surpass any graphics in history, the AI is incredibly intelligent and the game physics are very good, your point about PS3 being hard to code on is therefore irrelevant.

Also I play on PS3 obviously as these games are all PS3 exclusives

I personally am not impressed by the PS3, only exclusive on it that I have any interest in is God of war 3, and one game is not enough to make me buy a PS3. Not everyone cares about story, graphics,AI or game play for me its a question of interest..

Yeah, I don't think we'll be getting a better version of Dawnguard. They just haven't found a way to make it only as buggy as the other platforms' DLC releases yet.

As some people on the PS3 Hardware forums are speculating, the fact that we might not get Dawnguard has major implications for the PS3. Pete Hines has said they haven't cancelled Dawnguard on the PS3 (for whatever his word is worth to you) but that doesn't mean they won't. They still might. And if that happens, where does that leave us? Likely without patch support. If they aren't going to give us DLC, then it's no longer financially viable (at least in the short term) to bother continuing to support the PS3 version of Skyrim.

This is strictly worst case scenario, but that doesn't mean I'm not preparing for it.

I personally don't see what the big interest in Uncharted is. I've only played the third one, and it was without a doubt, one of the worst gaming experiences of my life.

Pardon me for asking, but if you don't care about story, graphics, AI, or gameplay, what is it that actually makes you interested in a game at all? Voice actors?

I could understand the complaint of Sony being hard to develop on if the console just came out recently. However, I believe it was released in 2007 and this is not the first time Bethesda has made a game on the ps3. Many other companies much smaller than Bethesda have figured it out. If they are struggling that much, then find some people who are extremely familiar with the ps3 to assist.

I have no problem with the delay as long as they are being serious about fixing the issues before release. What I do find strange is that Skyrim obviously had problems on the ps3 in November yet they were apparently not that concerned. Dawnguard must be in extremely bad shape if Bethesda is not releasing it. Which makes me wonder if they will ever get it running in a satisfactory enough manner.

Bethesda makes really incredible games when they work. Sometimes I feel Skyrim is similar to playing a game of Jenga. The longer you play the more unstable it becomes and eventually it will come crashing down.

Is it notoriously hard to communicate with your customers and not letting them in the dark wondering if they are even going to get further support for their game?

@REL_Dovahkin If that's the case and we're not getting it, I wanna know it as soon as possible. Skyrim might be one of the best games (for PS3) I've ever played, but It's also the buggiest, and It's not worth it waiting forever just to get a huge slap in the face and waste my time when there are other great games I'm looking forward to.

ROFLMAO,guess he likes watchin the logo that appear when you start the game. Y'know, that stylized silver dragon is awesome.

Submitting the patch to Sony this week does not mean it get released to players this week, nothing is ever instant and especially not anything to do with Sony. If both patches are submitted at the same time for the consoles, I would say the Xbox 360 will have it a couple of weeks before the PS3 players. So do not even expect to see the patch till probably the end of the month.

Everyone knows the PS3 is harder to develop for than the XBox 360, all that means is it takes longer to get anything done, it does not mean the developer cannot code for the PS3. DLC is more available than the boxed games, you can get it as soon as it is ready and approved. Personally I think just holding the other versions back till they were all finished would have been better. Then they could have continued testing during their 30 day exclusive period, rather than leaving one group out in the cold with no idea when they were getting the DLC.

I agree. Submitting the patch to Sony for certification does not mean a patch will be released this week; however, it would appear that they have not submitted this week as planned. So what is going on? Gstaff should be just stopping in here to explain what's up.

Just noticed that even this forum is buggy. I log out,and refresh the page, and it still says I'm reading the freakin' topic. Not only that, but it shows that I'm still online. I deleted my cookie, cache or whatever it's called, and nothing changes. It didnt redirect me to the main page as usual. This is creepy. I smell Bugthesda's touch even in these forums.

Somehow managed to solve this problem. Whatever.

On topic: Did Pete Hines say that it wasnt cancelled on Twitter? Are Tweets from Tweete Hines readable even w/o having any Twitter account?
