PS3 Release for Dawnguard. #2

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 8:35 pm

Since where talking about Grammer Nazism.. Most of the forum says "Anyways".. You should complain about that.. Since its wide-spread on this forum

anyways is not a word.. Its only Anyway..

Wasn't complaining. I really thought the latter part of my post would make that clear to you. But if you would like to be OT 'anyways' would most likely come under the umbrella of 'slang'. And slang is more common and less jarring than incorrect use of basic punctuation. We're all guilty of dropping our apostrophes, but most can differentiate between when to use a full stop or a comma.

Shame i don’t own an xbox but whatever, Can’t say i’ve had too many issues with my ps3 aside from some lag in whiterun and a few freezes, Nothing that would stop me from playing, In all honesty i love this game so i will most likely buy dawnguard, Hopefully tho this will make them take the ps3 a bit more seriously instead of just giving up on the platform alltogether for future DLC

i this it true than the PS3 version was mutch more playable than you XBOX360 version, i never had a single savegame corruption or problems with my quest markers also never had to pull the plug on my PS3 and the lag was mutch less than what you make me believe with what you writing.
if what you say is all true why do people claim the PS3 version is worse.

I have over 1000 hours on the Xbox 360 version, never had any save game corruption problems, that is not a problem with the game itself but more likely how the save games are being stored. The Xbox 360 has a lot of lag problems that each patch tries to fix (the draw distance is almost up to instantly sprouting the scenery as you get to it now), but still you put a lot of action on the screen you get a slideshow. If the PS3 version handles the graphics better and never freezes you are lucky, obviously the PS3 can handle some things better than the Xbox 360. The 1.6 patch added a lot of problems with lagging and the freezing on autosaving with the larger save files. I have heard the PS3 version used to have those problems (PS3 players certainly complained loud enough), they would want to improve that patch before trying it out on the PS3. So not only is Dawnguard not yet ready for the PS3, but they are probably still trying to get the patch to work better that you need before downloading Dawnguard.

In that case I now read all your posts imagining you talk like the wheelchair-bound kid from Malcolm in the middle.
That.............is so..................rude! I cannot................believe...............you said.........that. :bonk:
Im not exactly understanding what this has to do with the thread.. Sure you can go make a thread how I put 2 periods instead of 1.. But your messing around about something that has nothing to be messed with.. If you are trying to prove a point by attacking the person who you can't prove wrong.. being me.. You should really grow a pair and use defense in terms of knowledge and not in personal comments that have no valid stand in this thread.. I don't even believe personal remarks about people on this forum is allowed to be honest..

My POINT was that you sound uneducated when you put a dozen unnecasary periods. Also all you were saying was "Witcher 2 is better, because i say so.." Whiiiiich also made you sound, uneducated. See where im going with this? Your opinion on the whicher itself, is off topic, i at least made a point.

AND to that point.

Skyrim has been great for me on the ps3, ive had it since the midnight release (didnt have to wait long, small town) and ive only had 1 glitch, wasnt even game breaking. If i shoot the moon with a bound arrow, it makes the moon all glitched out, and shoot purple lasers all over the place. Im hoping that when dawngaurd releases i have the same luck. As apparently im the 1% of people who never had glitches with my PS3 copy of skyrim. Also, im one of those who couldnt wait, and watched the walkthrough on YT.com.. Thankfully the guy talked over the WHOLE playthrough and i didnt hear a word the npcs were saying. So it should all still be fresh.

Well if they find it this difficult to release just one dlc, I think it's safe to assume we might not get anymore let alone dawnguard. I can't believe that a multi-million dollar game studios reason for not releasing the dlc is because it's to hard. I wish I would have known this on release date so I could have gave the Gamestop employee the middle finger. Incompetence must be the company motto the giant bent over frost troll annoyingly chants as they make decisions pertaining the ps3 version. I hope they all go consummate themselves slowly and shout tiid while they do it, just to make sure it's not over to fast. Bet they wish they had a time wound they could go back to so they can remember the way the guys who published oblivion did it. Bunch of 5th rate chumps when it comes to games. Never forget 11/11/11 a day that will go down in infamy as a day that I got screwed.

And how would flipping off the Gamestop employee solve anything? How was he/she supposed to know if there were problems with the game? Taking your anger and frustration out on someone because of Bethesda's mistakes is an inexcusable answer. The only thing the Gamestop employee did to you was sell you the game.

I think the most important things on PS3 is fix bugs and avoid bugs.So I think Beth will not post any new infomation until the Dawngard is perfect run on PS3!

Nope, i have a 120 slim, and the map was highly dissappointing. Yea its awesome when you start a new game and wanna know where all the daedra shrines are ( the little x's). I have an article that talks about this map before the game came out. It said, the map would be a leather-bound realistic styled map with real ink and fur. This obviously was not the case, instead we get a piece of wallpaper with a printed map.. Still yea its nice to have.

so i've seen a lot of people complaining about the ps3 version being "buggy" and maybe i'm unique but i have never encountered a bug in skyrim prior to the first day of owning it. even then it wasn't really a bug just a graphical glitch. actually in fallout new vegas i tried to repair some armor and the game locked up and became unplayable so... there is always that. but bethesda can program for the ps3 just fine i've had problems with other consoles of theirs though, hunted the demons forge was virtully unplayable on the xbox as i hear it, so i'm trying to figure out why when everything else was released on time before (give or take) why they can't release it for ps3. were they just sitting on their hands during that month that xbox paid them for a mercy exclusive?

Bethesda can program for ps3 just fine? seriously lol thats why they delayed dawnguard for ps3 thats why people got lag in skyrim day one that's why ps3 fallout 3 goty edition has some of the worst reviews I have ever seen. Bethesda is probably one of the worst gaming companies to ever port to the ps3 sure there have been others but those games were not AAA games like skyrim and fallout 3 with huge gaming companies behind them.

I'm on the PS3, and the only thing that's ever killed it for me was when my first save got corrupted, but that's about it.
Oh, and my friend crashes while in water, these are the only major things that can ruin my game completely.
I got Skyrim about 2-3 weeks after release, and I've been playing since.
i had the undewater crashing thing to just after the last update, i deleted the original skyrim installation(not the update) and reinstalled skyrim and then it worked fine again.

So basically this cycle will continue for some PS3 users onto the next dlcs and toward the next game being developed as we speak.

Some people are claiming to not buy any other bethesda products afterward. However they will miss all the good things about Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. Sure these games are buggy as hell for all versions, but they are still good games in terms of content and overall fun/enjoyment. So those fans are probably going to continue getting these games for PS3 and still complaign about the bugs.

That was already known, didn't need his confirmation, but this is the same bs information we get the whole time.

I just want to know WHEN we will get it, i don't want to wait another 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-1000000 weeks again

I was being patient but now it's just ridiculous. We PS3 users are continuously getting shafted by Beth. If they even try and release the DLC for the normal price, I can tell there will be thousands of angry PS3 users. After making us wait this long, and chances are DG will still be riddled with bugs, releasing it at full price would be a stupid move. Of course, the chances of us getting a discount are almost non-existent. And I've had enough with Bethesda, so, I won't be buying any of their products anymore.

i readed posts from people saying the reason skyrim is so glitchy on the PS3 becase Bethesda didnt put enough effort into it.

It's not a question of effort. It's simply harder to make games run well on PS3.

I know PS3 users insist this isn't true, but how many of you have ever actually programmed for two different kinds of machines? If people who do it for a living insist that it is harder on PS3, how can we really argue?

While I agree with some people looking like whining brats, have you ever questioned why 4J studios can apparently code Beth games (Oblivion) properly for PS3 but apparently it's notoriously hard? yeah it was for some at the start but many companies have had 5+ years experience with it. You should have seen how bad Fallout 3 was on PS3, It froze every 5 min for me and I had severe FPS issues nigh on constantly...

Sony unfortunately adopted the strategy of having developers learn as they go (IE intentionally making it hard to work on their console) so companies with lots of experience and a history of making games with few bugs do well on PS3. Companies like Bethesda that are used to making buggy PC games tend to struggle with PS3.

I can't understand console loyalty. Why can't we simultaneously be PS users and also admit that Sony made some serious mistakes with PS3?
